Gas is a natural non psychical energy and is subjugated to the defenses of yata
So poisons will not go through yata nor would the acid as it follows the same laws

Yata Mirror can't block two attacks at the same time. That's why someone like Kakuzu would f*ck it up.

If it can block any attack it can block more than one attack -.- As long as it hits the Yata Mirror of course. Itachi wouldn't be referred to as "invincible" if all it takes to get past Yata mirror is more than one attack -_-

No, it needs to change it's attribute to block the attack so if someone like Kakuzu shot out two Elemental attacks at him at the same time, Yata will be confused and will only be able to block one attack while the other one will shatter it.

i wouldn't say gas is non physical, i mean you can touch it, but you can feel it on your skin, and as long as you can make contact with it its physical, Non physical would be a ghost. Now you said poison fog wont go through, i didn't state anything of it going via the shield. It diffuses in the atmosphere and surrounds its target, how will itachi yata Mirror block that, also rotten gas would disintegrate its armor, the fact that it operates on a molecular scale like jinton, we all saw how easily it rotted a tree,(saiken) moreover its just enzymes being contracted with chackra to produce that effect, it has no element which Yata Mirror depends on to block its attack
