Misconception about "It's because you let Rin die"

I found this useful bit of information on another forum, and I thought it was important enough to share it with you guys. Since this quote caused such a shitstorm, it would be good to put this quote to rest or to understand the real meaning behind it (especially after 629):


I think people should know:​

In the chapter that he first starts talking to Kakashi about it, Obito says, "お前がリンを。。。殺しにしたから。。。だろうな”.

This more accurately translates to, "Maybe/Probably (in an ironic, taunting sense), because you killed Rin."

So those who link the page that shows, "Because you killed Rin" are referencing a translation that is not only incomplete, but fails to show the actual behavior and intention of his choice of words.

Obito was basically taunting Kakashi... Hence why Obito started to laugh one page later when Kakashi had a mini-mental breakdown.

Ahh that's great. I never really thought he would go crazy because of that. Well he didn't it was trigger but he didn't only because of that.
