She wasn't a prodigy like him so he advanced faster and would have kept advancing if still alive but over the course of some time, she will reach jounin level as well and perhaps surpass where Neji was at the time of his death.

Since part II, Hinata developed Twin Lion Fists. I didn't see Neji develop any other jutsu that Hinata didn't have as well. They both have that...whatsitcalled. The-the technique that propels pure force of chakra at their opponent. Like Almighty Push, just not as immense. They both got that in Shipuuden and that's why I like the Hyuga clan, because of that technique. How insane in chakra control to you have to be to force blasts of chakra at someone without Rinnegan!?

Hinata developed something Neji didn't. We've known since the beginning that Neji was the farther genius, but Hinata, ever since the Chuunin Exams, started implementing stronger hard working principles that allowed her to catch up to her peers. Her databook stats are significantly lower than Neji's. But that was in the beginning of Shippuuden, since the first two were in PTS.

You have this large gap of time between then and now. Of course, the argument could work either way; Neji could have developed significantly too. But we haven't observed that happening, while we got to see Hinata get stronger almost every time she's present.

i miss neji. but since he is dead and all and is stuck in the phase where he was at his demise, hinata has the potential to surpass him. it may take a while, but he cant get any better and she probably wont get any worse, especially if she wants naruto to notice her more and more.

It would almost be a troll to her charcter and almost a Naruto theme if she remained 100% weak.

1) She has been an extremely hard worker (like Naruto and Lee)

2) She has kind of been a loner/ostricized by someone (like Lee and Naruto)

3) She shares Naruto's way

Since one theme of Naruto was "believing in one's self" and "never bakcing down", it would be kind of sad if someone followed these, and still ate sh**.

Also, considering she has tried her best like Naruto and Lee (who share parallel positions) it would be dissapointing if Kishi left one behind!

After all that...we have yet to see Hinata go all out...I mean....Pain's power is Troll Strong so no real fight there....who knows what Twin Lion Fists do if they connect

If she becomes more confident in herself than yes, I believe she can and will. However, if when this war is over, she goes back to the way she was and hides behind her shadow again, I cant see her getting much stronger. Even with Naruto's help.
