Chapter Twenty Four: The Bay Bridge of Blood
Traveling to the West was far shorter then going to the South and the scenery was greatly different. People in the villages they saw passing by were energetic and happy, the landscape was mixed with a little grass and a lot rocky but smooth terrain that BIBI and Vengeance covered with good speed. Although BIBI hardly spoke and Vengeance just hummed pointing where to go as she read from the map they were making it through the West fast and soon they would be at the Bay Bridge of Blood.
“BIBI, I’m hungry, let’s get some food at this stand up ahead.” Vengeance said pointing to a sign for a food stop building ahead.
“Sure, whatever.” BIBI mumbled.
The building was bigger then they expected and the door was covered by a large cloth which they moved aside as they entered. Only a few people were in there and they were all men, sitting together in a corner, they eyed Vengeance and BIBI as they walked in and up to the counter.
“Two bowls of ramen, a plate of sushi and sake please!” Vengeance said brightly to the man behind the stand. The man nodded at me with a smile and headed back to get my order done.(i thought to my sefl.WTF is this guy gay)
“Well don’t just stand there behind me BIBI, have a seat I ordered for us both.” Vengeance said.
“I didn’t need you to.” BIBI replied taking a seat next to her.
“Whatever, you’ll thank me when your full and satisfied.” Vengeance said.
“Shut your damn mouth, you talk down to me like you have been a Mod Soldier longer or something, did you forget I carried you to the medical center along with Shodaime (not me XD) when Jessie planted those bombs?” BIBI said loudly causing the men in the corner to look at them.
“Oh keep it down, no I did not forget and I am grateful but I don’t live in the past you know, I was plenty strong I just got caught off guard, now that I am on the team you can bet your ass I am going to stand out, deal with it BIBI.” Vengeance said smiling.
BIBI opened her mouth to reply when she felt a hand on her shoulder, she turned around to see a fat hairy man with sweat stains on his shirt and dirty pants smiling at her.
“Can I help you?” BIBI said pushing his hand off.
“I didn’t know they made Mod Soldiers this sexy.” The fat man said. “How about you two come with me and my boys over there.” He said pointing back to the other men smiling over at them.
“No, how about you go find someone more your type, like a cow perhaps.” BIBI said turning around. The man’s face dropped and he filled with anger, he took a swing at BIBI but Vengeance jumped in front blocking his fist with one hand.
“No you!” Vengeance said kicking the man back and all the way over into his friends at the table as they rolled everywhere from the impact.
“Light weight.”Vengeance said.
“Damnit I don’t need your help!” BIBI turned back and yelled at Vengeance as she stormed out. The man behind the stand had just arrived back with there food as he saw the men all knocked out on the floor and BIBI storming out. Vengeance through some money at the counter for the man, grabbed a hand full of food and ate as i ran after BIBI.
“He was going to hit you, you should be thanking me.” Mamba said with a full mouth catching up to Tsuna.
“And do you think I am so slow I would not have counter attacked? Honestly Vengeance I do not want or need your help, back off, lets get this damn box, get back and avoid each other as long as possible.” BIBI said firmly.
“Alright then, if we hurry we can make it to the Bay by sundown.” Vengeance said pulling out the map again and leading the way.
They continued the rest of the trip in silence, even Vengeance’s humming had become so soft you could hardly here it over their steps. After awhile they arrived at the bottom of a large hill and sitting on the rock below was a child in raggy clothes with blonde hair kicking a rock around.
“Going to the Bay Bridge of Blood? He asked as they walked past. BIBI ignored him as she was determined to get up this hill swiftly but Vengeance turned back and gave him a smile and nod.
“Good luck!” He yelled as they began moving quickly up the hill, he gave them both a sneaky smile they did not notice as they went on.
“Finally.” BIBI said stopping at the top and looking below, Vengeance arrived right behind her to see the view as well.
Below was a large Bay that was surrounded by a small beach type land with sand and rocks and also trees on the outskirts, to the left of the large Bay was an oddly shaped Bridge that’s legs extended down in to the Bay and its length lead from one side of the Bay to the other, it was thick and full off holes which were the source to giving the Bay a Blood type appearance when the sun rose. Night was setting in so they would have to wait to find the box until the morning but the sight of the Bay was amazing to them.
“Well let’s set up camp down on the beach.” Vengeance said. BIBI who had already planned to do this headed down the hill and through the trees to the beach. Night had set in as they each finished setting up their own tents they’d backed and their back packs they carried.
“I will take first watch.” BIBI said.
“Okay but its not like anyone’s actually coming for this thing, AKI is just paranoid.” Vengeance said laying down in his tent and drifting off. BIBI just kept quiet and looked off into the night sky as her mind filled with thoughts.
They would have to wait for the break of morning to when the Sun shined through the wholes in the Bridge for a short while to see the Boxes location but little did they know someone else was waiting, hidden in the woods who had arrived only minutes before them.

The night air was fresh from the Bay and the sky was clear, the moon was full and it reflected perfectly in the Bay. BIBI sat in the sand near the edge of the Bay and had drifted off in thought about the things she tried to block out as the time passed on. Sugio still being present in her, Zonder's death, the recent attitude change of the Admins, her passion with Lara and Vengeance being introduced so suddenly into her world, she wanted to pick something out to focus on but she could not and thus remained confused.
“*I can’t keep going through this, so much to consider and I can’t keep my thoughts straight, it’s just-”
BIBI had her thought interrupted by a loud snore from Vengeance back at his tent, he seemed to be sleeping well but a little too loud for BIBI’s taste, she stood up and decided to take a little walk down the side of the Bay. As she walked she felt as though she was being watched, BIBI was known to be a little paranoid but this felt different, she could not shake it as she stopped and looked around.
“Good evening.” A voice from behind BIBI said. She turned around quickly while stepping back to see the source.
“Who the hell are you?” BIBI demanded ready to draw her weapon.
“I am Hellsbadass. I suppose you can consider me a representative of the South, I’ve been checking these lands out for days and recently was informed you and your partner would be arriving here.” Hellsbadass said. He had short black hair and was only a little taller then BIBI and wore a black and white stripped sleeveless outfit from head to toe, In his hand he held his sword which appeared normal enough but seemed to be dripping something.
“I see you have noticed my blade, it drips with the blood of the guy you left sleeping back there, my specialize in quick kills but you noticed my presence before I could strike you, impressive unlike the other one.” Hellsbadass said holding his sword as to slow her the blood in a better view.
“Murder!” BIBI said drawing her weapon. “How did you know we would be here and why have you come for that matter!” She yelled.
“That is something I cannot reveal however I will tell you not everyone you trust is trustworthy, at least when it comes to your benefit but I am here to take the chest you were sent here for back to my master.” Hellsbadass finished.
“ I’ll slice you down before you get the chance!!” BIBI said drawing her sword at last. “DIVIDE HAROU!” BIBI yelled as her blade split into two. She ran straight at Hellsbadass who had raised his sword in defense. She struck fast and on point as her blades gleamed under the moonlight striking at Hellsbadass.
“You are better then expected.” Hellsbadass said still backing up as BIBI’s blows rained down upon his blade.
“Not even warmed up!” She said vanishing in front of him and popping up quickly to his right and resuming her attack. It showed Hellsbadass was used to being the aggressor or getting quick kills because his defense type never changed and BIBI began to make contact with her hits as she began reading him better.
“*Got him now*” She thought to herself sending her left blade down straight for him and her right blade straight at him, as she expected he blocked the upper attack and she had caught him by surprise and managed to get a little stab off on him. Hellsbadass grunted a little in pain and stepped back quickly afterwards to create distance between as blood began to show through his stripped outfit.
“You don’t have what it takes to stand up to a Mod Soldier face to face you coward,Vengeance would have destroyed you had the attack been fair.” BIBI said approaching him again.
“All is fair in war, only fools have honor.” He said back to her.
“Then get ready to die at the hands of a fool!” BIBI said charging in again.
Hellsbadass swung his sword against the sand as she came in and it flew up blinding her for the moment.
“*Sh*t, can’t see*” BIBI thought to herself. As she tripped and struggled to see with the sand still moving about in the air, she felt a slash to her back and she flew forward sliding in the sand face first.
“And there you have it, a cheap trick has won me this fight.” Hellsbadass said standing over BIBI who was trying to move as the blood rushed down her back.
“*Not good, I can’t move yet the slash is still too fresh*” She said froze and looking at the ground, to the left she saw the him standing over her in his shadow of the moon which was becoming more distant as morning approached, with his sword raised and he swung it down hard. The attack did not hit her but banged off another blade. BIBI forced herself over to see what had happened and was shocked.
“Ven…Vengeance?” BIBI struggled to say.
“Damn right, gonna take more then some cheap sneak attack to keep me down.” She said as blood dripped from an open wound in her chest, BIBI just stayed in place waiting for what was going to happen next as she still could not move fully.
“Take a break BIBI, your watch is over, I got this.” Vengeance said with confidence as he stared down Hellsbadass.
