Sasuke may have Susano and still may never use it. Besides, Madara does not know about Itachi's encounter with Naruto and what he gave him. It's not like Itachi told him his every move. Madara was only speculating.

Now Itachi might have given just a letter for Sasuke or a recording( ), but we will have to wait and watch.

Sorry to burst your bubble... but Susanno is a technique... not something only 1 person can claim... You said it yourself, Sasuke has Itachi's Susanno... Also meaning that in theory, Sasuke couldn't defeat Madara, because he could summon Susanno... now what?
