Poor example : Madara has none of these abilities except Susano'o. Second, Gaara blocked Enton, not Amaterasu directly from the user. Third, he is not dodging it, only thing he has on Amaterasu is Susano'o and without intel he would die pretty quickly if ignited by Amaterasu.

If both have intel, I would expect Madara to pull out his higher form of Susano'o and change things in his favor.

You failed to point out the fact he was on the ground, nearly completely disintegrated and would have most likely died if he wasn't an edo. By the way, Nagato blows off Amaterasu - he gets Amaterasu'd again. Remember Nagato's 5 second interval. If Nagato can react in time, which he can't (shown during the moment he got hit by Amaterasu) with his chakra absorbing technique he would have a chance, but he just doesn't have the reaction time.

And again, Madara doesn't have this technique in this scenario, so that is irrelevant.

Not only that but if Sasuke is fighting rinnegan Madara, then Madara could just preta path it

And enton is amaterasu, except one is able to mold it to different shapes other than the standard flame.....

and as I said, Susanoo would protect Madara from amaterasu

Think of it as a filler episode... Or at least a "movie approved by Kishi" like that Road to Ninja for example. (Or think of it that Sasuke went into the past and was destined too toddle with Madara too return back or some such lol.)

Really he was a legend among uchiha and shinobi overall for that matter. Madara was really, REALLY unlucky that he happened to have been born during the time of an even bigger legend, hashirama, or else he would've dominated the shinobi world.
