Onoki should take this

Deidara destroys things on a cellular level
Onoki destroys things on a molecular one

Didn't Deidara already fight onoki on turtle island?

Yes they did fight, but Deidara was called back before he got the chance to either use C2 or C4.

This matchup kills me because as much as I want to go with Deidara I know that he'd get beaten by Onoki. Onoki fights with huge stones, massive strength and particle jutsu. Pair that with the flying and he's basically the perfect match for Deidara.

Onoki would have to stay alert at all times of course and one wrong move could result in Deidara taking the upper hand but remember how scared Deidara got when the old man got mad? Deidara was immortal and he still warded off a bit. A maddened Onoki (like the guy we saw in the madara fight) could defeat Deidara. As much as I hate to say it.

Thanks

It really just depends if deidara gets serious from the begining instead of messing around

Serious Deidara>Onoki

But onoki's attacks are stronger

Don't lose your hope on Dei yet. 6 Paths suggested this match up. I'm sure he has something under his sleeve and I will follow his lead.

Hmm. Deidara will be serious because this is manga knowledge so Dei wouldn't underestimate his former sensei.

Onoki takes this. They can both fly so taking to the air won't give Deidara the advantage, and if he manages to touch Deidara or his bird then he can make them heavier and send them tumbling to the ground. Depending on how heavy he's become the impact could probably seriously injure him..IDK.

There's also the Jinton route.

Hmm. But Dei has C2, C3 and C4. We'll see what 6 paths will say and like I said I will follow his lead. After all, this match up was his idea.

Onoki has many ways of beating Deidara, can't be bothered to research on any of these two since they aren't really interesting anyway.

Deidara has this one. He has the advantage of having intel on Onoki's jutsu, which gives him a distinct advantage. He's aware of the fact that he should not underestimate the power of his master, and would definitely stay alert.

Countering the Jinton
The reason most people would give this match up to Onoki is because of the immensely useful Jinton, but however, it has a certain weakness, which can be exploited by someone like Deidara who has intel on Onoki, having been his personal student.

The biggest weakness of the Jinton is the fact that it takes time to , as we all know. Knowing about the Jinton, Deidara would obviously back away and get into a safe distance, exactly like he did against the Tsuchikage in that scan over there. While this process is going on, the hands cannot be split, just like shown when Akatsuchi stopped the technique by separating the of the Tsuchikage.

This being the case, Deidara is aware how he can prevent the Tsuchikage from using the Jinton, by simply doing exactly what he did in his battle at the Turtle Island, staying in range, in order to prevent the Tsuchikage from creating the Jinton. By doing this, he can make sure that whenever Onoki tries to create a Jinton, he'll be there, ready to stop him with a minor C1 bomb, such as the ones he used against Gaara, who have been noted for their .

This having been said, Onoki wouldn't be able to pull off a Jinton before Deidara attacks him first, rendering the Jinton useless.

Attacking Onoki
Deidara's clay allows him to create many bombs at once, some of which are even faster than him and Onoki himself. Undoubtedly, the battle would take place in the air where both wait for a chance to get a hit off on one another, which is where Deidara uses the advantage granted by overwhelming the opponent with numbers to it's fullest.

Onoki might be able to create Rock Clones, but even so, the Rock Clones have never been seen using techniques, much less the Jinton itself, and seem to have rather be used as diversions. The amount of clones he has been shown creating at a time are max four, meanwhile, Deidara has been shown creating something as large as the almost in an , which also included 50+ , a guided , another , a large scale , and yet another . Note that this had already been created and was ready for use instantly, meaning that Deidara managed to create all this, along with all the things the dragon had yet to show, in around two seconds.

This allows Deidara to use these numbers to overwhelm Onoki by using Clay Clones, Missiles, and Birds to attack him and the clones from multiple directions, which would without a doubt defeat Onoki in the end.

Another way to approach would be by waiting until Onoki tries to attack with the Weight Jutsu or the Rock Fist, which both require Close Contact (With Jinton being ineffective, this'd be his only chance of getting to Deidara, and counter attack with a . (Which Onoki has no intel on whatsoever) In the end, this would be Onoki's downfall, if he manages to survive the flurry of bombs sent from Deidara, which is unlikely.

Conclusion
Deidara has counters for everything Onoki has to offer.

Jinton is countered with Close Range fighting, which Deidara would certainly resort to, knowing Onoki and his techniques. This gives him the chance to attack Onoki before he attacks Deidara, since the Explosive Clay takes less time to form than the Jinton itself. Another approach would be to simply distance himself from Onoki, and create Bunshins to multiply Onoki's targets.

Rock Clones are countered by Deidara's superiority in numbers, which are able to attack, something the Rock Clones have not been shown to be able to do.

Weight Jutsu and Rock Fist are countered by Deidara's Close Range C4, which Onoki has no info on, and would therefore not be able to provide an effective counter to.

Deidara has this one, high diff

All of deidara's serious attacks takes time to make so I think jinton has a chance to be made and then Deidara loses.

I think Onoki takes this, he has his Earth Golems to protect him from explosive clay and he uses the Rock clone technique when the situation calls for it and if he uses Earth Release: Ultra-Added-Weight Rock Technique to Deidara and his bird not only would they collapse this will give him the opening to use Jinton and end this match.

Deidara's C1 is faster than Jinton and he knows it. That's why Akatsuchi had to save Onoki. If he uses the Weight Rock jutsu, Dei can simply jump away and make another bird. The earth golem would be able to protect him from C1, but not from C2.
