Yes they did fight, but Deidara was called back before he got the chance to either use C2 or C4.

This matchup kills me because as much as I want to go with Deidara I know that he'd get beaten by Onoki. Onoki fights with huge stones, massive strength and particle jutsu. Pair that with the flying and he's basically the perfect match for Deidara.

Onoki would have to stay alert at all times of course and one wrong move could result in Deidara taking the upper hand but remember how scared Deidara got when the old man got mad? Deidara was immortal and he still warded off a bit. A maddened Onoki (like the guy we saw in the madara fight) could defeat Deidara. As much as I hate to say it.

Onoki takes this. They can both fly so taking to the air won't give Deidara the advantage, and if he manages to touch Deidara or his bird then he can make them heavier and send them tumbling to the ground. Depending on how heavy he's become the impact could probably seriously injure him..IDK.

Deidara's C1 is faster than Jinton and he knows it. That's why Akatsuchi had to save Onoki. If he uses the Weight Rock jutsu, Dei can simply jump away and make another bird. The earth golem would be able to protect him from C1, but not from C2.
