people are not grasping the point...itachi can beat danzo...and the third hokage was super old....n coudn't finish off orochimaru..someone that was nowhere near itachi's level...and my main point is that after danzo failed...third hokage would try to resume peace talk to avoid a large scale battle..he was that type of man..so they may not even end up fighting

Kishi himself wrote that Hiruzen knew counters to all MS/EMS techs, he had learned it directly from Hashirama U_U

The Uchiha clan would be dead. If he decided to not take the mission Danzo would have given another the same mission, probably a root agent. Itachi would be cautious and expect some foul play from Danzo before the Civil war was definite and intercept the Root Agent during the beginning of the Uchiha Massacre. That would have started off the civil war, where the Uchiha would have attacked Konoha ninja. The shinobi would be at a loss at what's going on, and the Uchiha would get the advantage right away.

But it wouldn't take too long for other Root agents to arrive on the scene and either explain the situation, or buy time for the Hokage/Elders to explain it to the mass of Konoha. And at the time Konoha had a good deal of high level shinobi. Such as kakashi, Gai, Asuma, Hiashi, Danzo, Shikaku, Hiruzen. It would be a bloody battle, but Konoha would win.

As for Obito, he wouldn't even bother to interfere. No point, his enemies were fighting amongst themselves. So by the end of the battle, the Uchiha clan would be gone (No Itachi or Sasuke left). Konoha would have lost not only a clan, but a significant number of shinobi and be in an even more weakened situation (The Kyuubi attack was only 6-7 years prior to this, it's hard to imagine they've completely repaired and made up for losses from that).

that's good for the third...problem is...just because u know the counters to the techniques..doesn't mean you can actually deliver and defeat your opponent..someone might know that to hit obito..it is basically when he attacks you that it is ur best chance to beat him..but obviously...no one has beaten him yet knowing the COUNTER to it...

Anyway I think the clan is strong enough to cause chaos and with itachi they would rule.. But still not all of the uchihas have sharingan so.. And konoha have strong shinobis too

it would def be tough for both sides but i don't think the third hokage would let it get out of control and allow both isdes to keep fighting..the main drive behind this mission was danzo...once he's dead...it's more approachable

the point is to beat and kill danzo and have the third hokage renew peace talks tho...to avoid this whole civil war..not even the third..the great man who wanted to continue compromising..not he would want to see his own village go at it until the end

kakahsi was a fodder at this time.
Hiruzen could easily get 1-shot.
Danzo didn't have any sharingans yet.

if shushi was also with itachi this could be a close fight.

yup as i mentioned before, danzo wasn't anywhere near as strong as he was when he fought sasuke..and jiraya was traveling around along with other sannins..idk about orochimaru but tsunade also left to go travel and gamble...and kakashi was strong...but nowhere near his power level in part two so
