If Shisui Uchiha was alive then he would also be one of the traitor of the Hidden Leaf massacring the Uchiha clan along with Itachi and Tobi leaving sasuke alone.
Then it would be more interesting to see the battles and how the story could get unfolded in a more interesting manner. How they individually and together plays their role in Sasuke's lonely life.

I don't think Shisui needs to wait for a decade to get his MS get activated again. Because he is the original user of that technique. He can use it anytime on anyone.
