What do you mean by "intelligence" and "genius"? Is it IQ? Because one can be a genius in sports and other fields. The same way "tactics" are different to "strategy". Hence, there's no "Ultimate Genius" - one who covers every branch of specialty with unparalleled skill. Having categories could help out. You have to look at both short term and long term goals as well, not just battle feats.

Sasuke was being manipulated. Itachi, Orochimaru and Tobi were all manipulationg him. In the end he wised up and chose his own path.

Yes that is the Gedo. But madara didn't revive it. He summoned it with the Rinnegan. Obito is the one who organized the capture of the tailed beasts and used them to revive the Juubi.
