people buying its databook hype are accepting the no limit fallacy. which is where one decides that because someone or a weapon has not shown to have a limitation, that must mean no such limitation exists and the weapon can take a island or planet level attack even though their feats are waaay below that.
they must also accept the databook said the same thing about chiyos puppet shield and kakuzu's earth spear. therefore there are THREE "ultimate shields" in narutoverse, and several more in canon itself (gaara's, neji's, sasuke's, third raikage's). each defence has inevitably fallen to SOMETHING.
even according to itachi himself yata has a weakness. everything must.

until someone shows me yata blocking out something impressive, anything able to crack or breach itachis susano itself would crack the shield. so kirin, white rage, tsunade's punch, mountain level attacks etc.
no one has yet to show me proof yata can take a mountain or island level attack. or stop genjutsus and other non physical attack.

for the same reason we dont use sakumo or tobirama in vs debates, yata mirror should be ignored.

kishis word is blatant hyperbole and no limits fallacy. as i said the same hype yata had in the databook is shared by two other objects/jutsus. but no one buys into that because its obvious hyperbole. i mean chiyos chakra blocks out ANYTHING?

Itachi's shield is speculated to be Yata, but not confirmed nor does it have any feats. It honestly looks just like the shield for Sasuke's Susanoo with a spiral pattern.

Madara's fan however has feats that are similar to the description of Yata mirror, but oddly enough hasn't yet been given a name. Every magical item has a name... could Kishimoto be waiting to surprise us?

@UltimateDeadPool I hold the same opinion as well. Albeit I have been largely apprehensive to share it. Madara's war fan in actuality does depict the 'reflecting mirror' properties. Let's not forget that Orochimaru was after Totsuka Sword, which means it probably had a tangible form, which could also be true for 'Mirror Yata'. Could it be true, that he was looking for Madara's arsenal or legendary sacred weapons? I am leaning towards it.

Come on Kishimoto, be a decent writer and throw in this awesome twist.
