It's clear kishi don't ignore sasuke's powers while powering up naruto. They are like yin and yang. They are meant to be equal which is why they progress as a pair.
If naruto got huge power up or two power ups in a row, and sasuke got only one, then THAT wont be called progressing as a pair. That would be called progressing naruto and NOT SASUKE.

This proves he was saying that in the future, if they both fought at full strength then they would be equals and both die. At this time he only had SM and Sasuke only had MS. But then Sasuke realizes the damage Naruto's attack did and realizes he would've lost which leads him to question the real strength of Naruto. And then you see Kaskahi, who realized Sasuke went all out, also asserted that Naruto could've killed Sasuke if that attack would've landed. Which proves what I said earlier. Rasengan Naruto>Chidori Sasuke. If you had read the manga you would've known this.

Continuing on, Sasuke leaves the village after this, and then he gets his Curse Mark enhanced. I'm not going to post any more chapters beyond this point, you just need to do the research yourself. It's the part where Sasuke was placed in that gourd and the team of Naruto, Shikamaru, Kiba, Shino, and Neji go to find him. Naruto and Sasuke later fight at the valley of the end, which we know Curse Mark Sasuke beat Kyubi cloak Naruto. Which means Sasuke's CM upgrade gave him the edge over Naruto.

After that, part 2 begins, and neither one of them got any upgrades in the beginning. So Sasuke was still better than Naruto. Go look at the Sai portion of the manga where they finally run into Sasuke again for your proof.

Then Naruto get's SM, and Sasuke get's MS. And as I pointed out TWICE despite you failed attempts to argue, they were equals. Then Naruto lays it out plain as day that in order to defeat MS Sasuke without dying, he needs KM (which you provided proof of that). Also, Sasuke also makes the notion that he needs EMS in order to be better than SM Naruto, he needs EMS (Itachi's eyes). Read chapter 486 and 487 for that.

Sasuke got his EMS, which he needed to defeat SM Naruto. But then Naruto got his KM, which he said he needed to defeat MS Sasuke. Which puts EMS Sasuke and KM Naruto on equal terms more or less. But then Naruto gets BM. And now we are waiting for Sasuke to get his upgrade, which puts current Naruto ahead of current Sasuke. Read the manga!

The thread maker has the exact quote from Kishi. Nowhere does Kishi say "they are equal". And as I have already proven to him twice, Kishi was not implying the are equal. It's clear from the manga that they weren't meant to be equals because we have seen in various points of the manga that they weren't always equal.

I will only state the obvious which should be known factor and a matter of common sense, but here goes; Madara tanked a FULLY powered Kurama. Is Naruto draining his power from the same Kurama? Half the power is tanked by a smaller Sussano'o. It should be too obvious and goes without saying. Even the size difference is evident between the Yin/Yang Kurama and the current one. The difference is pretty big. How is Sasuke not tanking a BD, again?

And you should go through the WHOLE MANGA again before referring it, as i said before, sasuke had taken too much toll on his body due to MS, and he was almost blind. In that condition he wont be able to fight anyone let alone naruto, so he needed EMS to not only get a new powerup but also to not lose the powerup he got in MS.

Naruto was saying that as in general way. Naruto didn't see sasuke's power at that point. He didn't saw susano/amaterasu/tsukiyomi , but still he knew that sasuke has gotten stronger and that he needs the kyuubi chakra in order to compete with him.

Don't get me wrong, Sasuke was a league above naruto at the start of Part 1 and shippuden. But as both part 1 and shippuden went on, His lead diminished very quickly.

The manga made it clear that Naruto is ahead of Sasuke, just look at the chapter where Sasuke felt BM Naruto over such a distance. Kishi wouldn't have bothered showing Sasuke's reaction unless there was a reason.
