As many have indicated, Hiruzen doesn't yet possess the feats which are going to give him victory against these kind of opponents. If he wisely exploits Enma's unpredictably, and if he does so vigorously, then perhaps he could give Hidan a few bumps and bruises. For now, however, the best he can probably manage is a draw via the Shiki Fūjin - although I expect that to change in the coming chapters.

Oh so hiruzen was alone fighting the nine tails? oh so hiruzen ever fought hashi with intents to kill? barely elite jonin? what a joke, he's easily Kage level plus you seem to have forgotten that Hiruzen is extremely slow and Hidan's fighting style revolves against scratching his opponent. You really need to reread the manga if you think Hiruzen can engage Hidan in a taijutsu fight without even getting scratched.

you know what i mean. kishi is portraying him as simply above hidan's class of ninja. as for being slow, i seem to remember him going up against orochimaru in hand to hand and disarming him in seconds. hidan gets demolished

being a one trick pony with one jutsu does not make you kage level. he self admittedly is the slowest in akatsuki due to his heavy weapon and his best feat is killing asuma
Just because he fought stronger enemies and didn't even necessarely win means he should be stronger than hidan? Don't think it works this way sadly.
Hidan only need a drop of his blood, going in hand to hand combat against someone who uses a scythe so skillfully is suicide not to mention he is extremely slow. More like Hiruzen gets demolished.

I voted hidan , he is immortal
He said he had the slowest attack speed, not overall speed plus he never seen most akatsuki members fight except for Kakuzu, it's not to be taken literally. He has 2 dangerous S rank technique, one that can one shot you and the other that makes him immortal, that is enough to make him Kage level.

Ok, I'll admit that I was joking on the RDS can't kill Hidan part, but I wasn't joking at Hidan being able to take out many shinobi in 1v1 without intel (Of course unless you're someone like Deidara who doesn't even get close to his opponents or Sasori who doesn't have blood.)
