I think the reason why Madara and Tobi said that next transformation won't be controllable is just because of the reason you stated...
Also, it's only logical that such power without any purpose of existense would definitely be used by the evil of the generation against others...
To be uncontrollable, it definitely needs consiousness....

And keep up this work...:whip:

i definitely think juubi has a personality and a mind of its own,we just have to wait untill it gets to its final stage :win: maybe juubi accumulates all of the nature energy first and after that it developes and awakens his personality/mind.maybe kurama was just reffering to these early stages of juubi....the final stage juubi definitely has its own mind i think :win:

Well considering he doesn't have all of Kurama or Gyuki the Juubi isn't at 100%. And during the SO6P era he was a full entity, considering that when he seperated the Juubi into 9 seperate beings each had a personality of its own. I wouldn't see why the Juubi wouldn't have one either; I think the fact it isn't at 100% its personality hasn't kicked in yet. And that being why Madara and Obito want to gain control of it now.

Now Kurama stating that the Juubi is natural energy, hence the reason why Naruto couldn't sense it. There's a bit missing in in these explanations of this beast. Its been said in translations that the Juubi's natural energy/chakra is evil/foul but what I don't understand is:

How can an entity that has no feelings and emotions react off of another's being hatred?
And how can its chakra be described as evil/foul if the Juubi has on feelings, emotions or conscience?

If the Juubi has no feelings, personality, emotions, if anything its more like a natural phenomenon/natural disaster that happens when all nine beasts are put together, than being an entity with a mind of its own.

Yea I can agree to this, though I also agree with claims presented by others here that the Juubi's evil/foul chakra could be a reflection of society: projecting a menacing chakra, simply because it is a product of its environment.
Still, Kishi seems to have a penchant for revealing to the reader different aspects of any given character. Nagato, Danzo, Kurama, along with others, are examples of characters thought to be clearly defined (evil, manipulative villains) in the series, yet later are given extra layers of complexity by Kishi in order to perhaps deepen their motives (or hell, he just wanted to add an extra flavor into the mix).
So in summation, I agree it is possible, for the Juubi -thought to be a mindless creature of pure evil- to have a emotions that were influenced to a certain degree by humans, simply because it is consistent with Kishi's development of characters as being something more than they were thought to be.

Well done!

The viz translation doesn't use the word foul or evil.

Kurama's statement does not mean that Juubi is good, or has neutral energy. Nature chakra contains every sort of exitence. It contains good, evil, neutral etc. Note that everything is part of the nature. So evil is also in it as well as good. Besides, something like Juubi does not need feeling to be destructive. It can destroy just by moving.

Now, if you take Rikudo's statement, it does not mean that Juubi was evil either. If you noticed in 628, the Shinobi start to feel pain when Juubi started his move. This mean that Juubi's energy or whatever he was doing can destroy a human senses. Now try to imagine how much it will take for a Jinchuriki to control such mass of energy. Rikudo might mean that the Juubi inside him was uncontrollable. Maybe Rikudo meant he wasn't powerful enough to keep Juubi in one piece, and that someone else could be able to do that.

The information you bring is claiming that the entity has emotions, as its essence is said to be foul according to several translations. However, in the official translation no such words are used to represent the entity in an emotional or personalistic way. [ ]

That said, the object in question [the Datara], is by the official translation a “natural creature” that denies awareness—lacking the quality of sentience. It is not in possession of any form of subjectivity of perceptional events that guide its behavior.

Therefore, by the official wording, the Datara does not have 'foul' or 'evil' chakra; only the composition of 'natural' chakra.

I seriously doubt it, Characters in Naruto have always been purposive, I doubt the Jūbi attacked humanity for no reason. Lol

The error with such a claim is that you “suspect” a reason. There does not “need” to be a purpose for the entity to attack another creature or species, it simply performs—and by the present wordings of the official translations this is the case.

Principle of sufficient reason calls for the being to have sentience and reason to attack humanity in Rikūdo's era, for the progenitor of the world would have done so eons before Rikūdo's era if indeed its' feral nature is antagonistic to humanity and life in general and yet it didn't, plot-wise, it would not fit for Madara to become the final antagonist of the series since it does not fit with the dichotomy of mankind vs divinity, Madara's dichotomy represents the conflicting idealism of Senju and Uchiha, ergo, it is logical to assume that the final antagonist of the series is the Jūbi, not a mindless creature but a fully sentient being capable of rational thought. It is a logical certainty that the Jūbi has consciousness. ;)

[That post is in thoughtlessness; strictly arbitrated.]

Only as your own internal constructions allow you to see; logically these sayings are uncorroborated allegations from which you conveniently changed the course of the theme to suit them. The object in question is said to hold no sentience that guide its behavior, and that onlyit is a “natural creature.” That is what is said. That is what the Datara “currently” is. Furthermore, it is not said nor mentioned anywhere that the Datara is only destructive to humanity; it’s contrary. The Datara is said to bring total destruction to the world. [ ]

Negating the fusing point you seemingly earnestly cling to, and makes an inference to the Datara destroying the world until the Kyūseishu could stop it—which was done only by becoming its Jinchūriki. This point defeats your fumbling idea of “mankind versus divinity,” as the entity caused destruction to the whole world; a world where humans exist and not just humans.

Those are two surmises slaughter, and the third follows.

While the resurrected Uchiha’s antimony does play between his natural rivals, it does not cast out the likelihood for him attaining the script of the final antagonist. That is once again your unsubstantiated allegation. The fact that the entity has only been stopped by a person becoming its Jinchūriki carefully minces the branches of the tree that is your third point and likens it to mere speculation.

With weights, it is not a logical certainty that the Jūbi has consciousness, but it is conjecture—a conjecture that may or may not pass through the bars of probability. It is a logical certainty that the Jūbi, "currently", possesses no consciousness or the sentience to feel awareness.
