I can't comprehend what "catching up to you" has to do with a hokage title... once Hiruzen was chosen as hokage,that was it, he's hokage.. there is no catching up... hiruzen chooses the next hokage..

I don't remember Hiruzen having Hashi's cells, hence why Danzo seems to have so much better stamina and be more powerful in battle. Danzo is mostly a rip off of Hashirama and the Uchiha clan, whitout all those implants he's still good but not nearly as impressive.

But the Hokage title enminity was settled 50 years ago the moment Hiruzen was selected... "catching up" wouldn't make danzo hokage anymore..the problem here lies in the fact that Danzo isn't speaking solely about when they were teenagers... it was a present statement that no matter what he did, he could never catch up

Hiruzen has nothing to counter Izanagi or KA.Danzo wouldn't even need that.He could use Wind Release and Wood Release.

he said "i couldnt become hokage. i couldnt catch up to you". so the only reason he said that is he wasnt hokage and hiruzen was

once Hiruzen was chosen as hokage,that was it, he's hokage.. there is no catching up.

KA can be countered by Enma, Both enma and Hiruzen know each other extremely well and have been partners for many years,

not really if hiruzen's KA'd into not summoning him in the first place
