1) I think it's good. If we only studied what we were interested in when we were kids, we'd have lots of people who know how to paint and play sports, but we wouldn't be very productive. While you may not have a vested interest in mathematics or language studies, these things are applicable and necessary to most everything in life.
2) I would eliminate prejudice, greed, and jealousy. The rest would pretty much work itself out.
3) It can't directly. However, people with more money are statistically shown to be happier and healthier.
4) Yes, I'm very happy with my life. I have a beautiful woman who loves me, a supporting family, a good education, and I'm on the path to a good career in a field I'm passionate about. Things don't get much better than that.

2. I advocate non-violence. However, in that circumstance I would feel justified killing the man. The only genuine reason she would have is if he were a rapist, and he were threatening here life. In that case, I'd still kill him. Giving her a chance in the case of a rapist obviously isn't an issue. It wouldn't be her fault. If she were voluntarily cheating on me, I'm not sure what I would do as far as forgiving goes.
3. I typically just popped my head into whatever threads were on the recent threads feed on the homepage. Occasionally I would create a thread. They were typically theory threads on how things worked, rather than predictions. For example, I made a thread on how I conceptualized Tobi's s/t jutsu to work before it was really explained in the manga. I think the key to my rep was creating thoughtful threads, providing useful feedback on others' threads, and occasional clever trolling. There's no trick, really. Just find what you're good at, and make friends with other "good" members.

I don't know from personal experience what high school/secondary education is like in other countries. However, it is my impression that it is easier than many other nations. I'm not proud of my country's high school education system. The plus side is that we still have the strongest university system in the world by most metrics.
I am nationalistic in the sense that I strongly identify with my country, but I don't think it's better than any other.
I think homosexuality is a naturally occurring phenomena that isn't really a cause for concern. I think gays should be allowed to marry, adopt children, and give blood, just like everyone else.

Ridding the world of famine, AIDS, and cancer would be a greater benefit to mankind than simply knowing that aliens exist. Additionally, I stand to personally profit more from distributing that knowledge than I would from introducing my new alien friend. I think the choice is pretty clear.
