Heard a rad theory that Kabuto will break out of it a changed man, heal Anko and they go rescue Yamato. The 3 Orochimaru experiments could play a role in the future.

I love this idea but I also feel like Kishi could just abandon Kabuto completely and this makes me sad.

If Kabuto had no more use in the series he would have been killed off the fact that he is in Izanami is a way of Kishi giving him a second chance after he finds his true self I believe.
