No, he BECAME Orochimaru with added spice. 80% of what Kabuto had was Oro's power, and the other 20% is achievable by Oro with the right host body. Not only is Kabuto far weaker without Orochimaru's power, and his SM is hindered by the fact that he's lost Orochimaru's powerful chakra.

Well technically that's not really the point of Kabuto, it's that through his intelligence and resourceful nature he was able to fuse Orochimaru into himself. It's Kabutomaru that achieved DMS. Oro had the chakra, Kabuto had the skill and the effort. Neither one of them did it alone but it was Kabuto's resourcefulness that managed to get him that added chakra.

its what oro DIDNT achieve that made kabuto want to achieve it. nothing else.
he wanted to continue his masters work and in the end his master doesnt give a FIG. XD

Heard a rad theory that Kabuto will break out of it a changed man, heal Anko and they go rescue Yamato. The 3 Orochimaru experiments could play a role in the future.

I love this idea but I also feel like Kishi could just abandon Kabuto completely and this makes me sad.

im up for any theory that brings anko into the picture
