The ultimate weapon of Kunoichi. How does one who aims to surpass even yourself have any hope of doing so without wielding as you put it 'the weapon of queens.'? I should possess such a power as a legacy cannot be built on a single generation. When your time comes, perfumes time must continue through new kunoichi capable of extending the legacy of the scent through further generations. Besides, what is a woman without the tools to attract.

(Remember what I said to you on Skype about stuff being either incredibly cheesy, or just plain awful... that's an example. XD)

Really though, I just want to be able to use the wonders that perfume possesses. The whole inflicting genjutsu through the use of scent, or in a liquid form is a trait which appeals to me greatly. I studied the release for some time before actually asking you about it, I looked at how it would work with potential other CE I'm planning to submit or learn as well as it's relationship with the way I RP personally, it seemed to fit in perfectly with all that I was looking for and I'm sure that given the chance to not only learn it, but develop it with you I'll be able to turn it into more than the incedible offensive force it already is ^^. xx

Perfume is the name given to the outcome when a collective group of odorous materials are combined to produce a fragrant liquid. Perfumes have been in existence for many a year and are primarily used in order to add a pleasant/ attractive scent to humans or animals.

In context of our RP perfumes main abilities come through it being highly flammable, containing in some circumstances extreme levels of acidity and through its scent (most often used in order to induce genjutsu). It is created through a combination of Water, Earth and Fire releases. The Water giving it the substance and liquid form that perfume possesses, Earth providing the natural chemicals and minerals which form the differing scents of the perfume, and fire release melting/molding everything together into a complete form of perfume.
Perfumes abilities can be split into three categories:

The Main Release is the natural use for perfume, using it as a scented liquid in order to add appeal to the users body.
The Alternative Release is perfume in it's various forms, whether that be a scent left in the air in a gaseous state or as a vapourised substance.
The third and final category is Specific Release Perfume, this refers to any perfume with a specific ability separate from merely being a scent such as; Genjutsu inducing perfumes or perfumes with high levels of acidity and toxins.

Perfumes weaknesses to basic natural elements come in the form of Earth (to a certain extent). This is because the density and solid form of earth is enough to contain perfume and to stop it spreading, although if the earth is not thick enough the earth will merely absorb the properties of the perfume leaving the perfumes abilities to continue working.
It's second weakness comes in the form of the lightning element, this is because many of the chemicals and minerals used to create perfumes are conductive of electricity and will thus make perfume dangerous to the user should they be in contact with the liquid when lightning connects.
It's final weakness comes against wind, this is because wind it is able to blow perfume back and to keep the scent or spray away.

Perfumes strengths when faced with the natural elements come against Fire release, this being because perfume as a liquid (being mostly alcohol) is highly flammable and possesses a low boiling point.
The weakness to wind can also be exploited as a strength however as if used correctly the wind can be used to further spread the liquid and it's scent through the air. It should be stated that perfumes low freezing point makes it strong against any cold based elements also.
Perfume is also strong against water as the water merely collects the perfume and spreads it around the battlefield without killing it's scent or abilities.

Love the way you worded the strengths and weaknesses section. Way I see it, perfume has so specific 'weakness'. The weaknesses stated are all merely potential threats only, but if utilised correctly they can also be seen as strengths and can be used alongside perfume to perform powerful combos. One which comes to mind as an example.

Emit a perfume which locks the opponent in a genjutsu, then as the effects take hold the user uses wave of inspiration, a near instantaneous lightning attack which mixes with the perfume and gives the opponent an almighty shock. If the genjutsu is described correctly I see no way an opponent could break it in time to put together a half decent counter. This may well be a combo you've utilised in the past, but I have more ideas of the sort so I'll come back to it in the later stages of this training ^^

Well, the lightning damages the mineral content of the perfume, so, if you use it like that, it wouldn't matter which special effect the perfume has, as it will be blocked. Then again, running a current through a perfume will not only shock the opponent, but could also ignite it, so your opponent would be paralyzed AND burnt (and alcohol burns are quite damaging).

Other than that, you pretty much got the perfume down perfectly. Now, let me move one to what makes up a Perfume, or rather, a Perfume technique.

(BTW, I was just reading the wiki page for Perfume, and I must say, there's so much I could have used... Oh well)

Back to topic:

So, we have the Body, the Scent and the Illusion.

The Body of the perfume consists on the liquid/vaporized based of the technique. It holds everything pertaining to the perfume and is responsible for the Scent and, consequently, the Illusion. It is usually made of Alcohol, but it can have different properties. When making a technique, we have to describe the body, just as well as we have to describe the rest.

The Scent of the perfume is the gaseous state of the perfume, which emanates from the Body. It is linked a different set of characteristics, which generally stem from the Body's characteristics. It brings a fragrance which you can choose when creating or, in case of general techniques, you can choose in the time of usage. In case of the element, it is the scent that carries the genjutsu, as chakra is dispersed in the air just the same as the gaseous molecules of the Perfume. Being a Perfume user, your chakra will carry a smell (which can be null), so the chakra itself is a Perfume, in essence. The genjutsu is cast by the form of scent, and, as your opponent breathes it in, it takes hold of his brain and latches on to it, producing the Illusion. Not all perfume techniques require/cast an illusion and not all illusions are genjutsu based.
When describing the scent, you must describe it's effects as well, be it Toxic, Pheromon-based, Genjutsu, etc

The Illusion is the non-physical effect of the perfume, and only applies when the technique carries a genjutsu. It is a different category because it separates itself from the physical aspects of the perfume. A technique could be killing your opponent through toxins, but still have an illusion of butterflies and flowers. Just like describing a genjutsu normally, you need to describe what happens in reality and in the illusion, and that is essentially what you do in this category, after writing the other two.


More for aesthetics than anything else, all techniques were made theatrical and feminine. I do like something efficient and deadly, and simple to use. But with perfume it's like playing with dolls, it's just this one time when I get to just do what I want and enjoy being a woman. So, instead of creating a stream of perfume, it creates an aggregation of petals that acts as a stream. Instead of creating puddles, I create a patch of liquid flowers, etc etc. Likewise, when I name a specific technique, I make it beautiful or based on a goddess, or when I make a more general technique, I make it French, because it's the language of love xD

As you mentioned in an earlier post, the form it takes being the petals allows it to appear as a stream much like fire or water techniques, it also gives the perfume the appearance of having a physical substance, whereas it has none. The main release perfumes primary objective is to carry the users scent around the battlefield. The danger which this possesses to the opponent stems from it being highly flammable, this allows it to be planted in order to power up any follow up techniques.

Another advantage of the main release perfume comes against Inuzuka or other ninja known to use there sense of smell to hunt. The user can severely confuse Ninja or animals with this ability by planting there scent around the area through the use of main release perfume. As well as this by strengthening the users scent one can cause a physical attraction between the opponent and themselves, lulling them into a false sense of security.
Main release perfume also has a high level of toxicity, becoming damaging to any natural and organic materials that it comes in contact with.

Correct. One thing though, it does have physical substance. You create a large liquid perfume which emanates the scent. Once you send it towards someone, it falls to the ground as a small lake of perfume on the ground, which can be manipulated later. The properties of this perfume is considered the default properties of the element. Whenever the effects are not described, or refer to the effects as main release perfume, it means this effects. Questions?

Ah okay I'm following now. Sorry that was my fault. When I think of perfume I instantly think of the perfume after it's been sprayed from the bottle and is in the air, this perfume has no real physical substance as it is split into tiny molecules and appears more as a gaseous state than a solid liquid.

the default properties you just spoke of, is the dropping to the ground to form a source for later attacks included in this?

If so, can I assume that no perfume technique ever just evaporates into the air. That once completed any main release perfume can be used again at a later time. Also, once the perfume source is formed does it retain it's scent indefinitely, or will the scent dissipate once the tech is actually over? (If it dissipates I assume that it can be bought back through some sort of chakra insertion when you next use it)

Quick question while it's on my brain if you don't mind. Though perfume doesn't freeze easily, if I were to freeze it the Ice would contain the scent correct? But if I then melted the ice, would the scent return at full strength? And thus retain it's original effects?

A perfume is a very volatile substance, and that is what produces the smell, but it doesn't happen instantaneously. Especially with such a great source as the one created with this technique, it can continuously degrade into gaseous molecules indefinitely after it's first usage. And since it's a liquid, it works or behaves like a Suiton technique, except it's alcohol and not water and it's volatile and flammable.

No, the default properties are the ones you described: Pheromones/Scent that induce a certain sexual attraction (Up to B rank Animals, I believe? Look for that and write it here), carries the scent of the user, throwing off scent based sensors (And that is why a perfume is personal, no two perfumes from different users are the same, even if they use the same technique), it's flammable and it's highly toxic if ingested.

As for the freeze, yes. Once it's solid, it breaks the smell and prevents it's effects, but once it thaws, the scent returns.

Description: Activating this in battle will require the user to spend 20 chakra, counting towards the jutsu count. The user is then able to preform any Water element jutsu using the main release perfume with an added +5 chakra cost. This does not add to the damage of the water jutsu. This technique works by expelling perfume in its vaporized form which will mix with the water and transfer it's properties to it, as such, when a water jutsu is used short range (spat, released from one's hands, etc), it comes out infused with the Main Release perfume. Embed in this skill is the ability to use Water chakra to manipulate a standing source of liquid perfume, as it is basically water heavily infused with scented minerals and chakra, thus allowing jutsu that require a water source to be used with perfume. The opponent is unable to do the same, as the perfume is infused with the user's personal chakra, likewise, the user is not able to manipulate other Perfume User's techniques, as each perfume is personal.
*The ability to convert Water Jutsus to Perfume can only be used once per turn and requires the user to wait 2 turns in order to use it again*

Okay, so this technique is really a continuation from the previous technique, as you said with Grand Plie once it is directed to it's required position it drops and leaves a source of perfume on the ground. Embellir then allows that perfume to be used as a source for water jutsu which require a source (or not). Not only this but as the jutsu is created from perfume it will hold all of Main Release perfumes trait and abilities inside it.
It can also be used by filling the air with perfume in it's vaporized state, then by using a water jutsu the user is able to fuse the two together, again giving the water jutsu perfumes abilities.
