The Rasengan, it can be used in so many ways and doesn't strain the body like the Chidori, plus the Rasengan, Odama Rasengan, Prototype-Fuuton Rasengan, Fuuton Rasen-Shuriken, Mini Rasen-Shuriken, Planetary Rasengan ALL look awesome!!!

Chidori is a failed attempt of putting elemental chakra into a rasengan. Chidori is literally based off Rasengan.

It killed him twice. He had 3 hearts, Rasenshuriken destroyed two of them and left him barely alive with his last heart so you can say it almost killed him 3 times.

But he still did'nt die Kakashi had to finish him off, all Rasen Shuriken did was bring him down to his last life.

Chidori has been reinvented into 4 other forms if I exclude Kirin. Each performs a very specific function unlike Rasangan variants other than Rasanshuriken. Hence Chidori is a much better and versatile technique.
