A sharingan genjutsu, unlike normal gen, is activated simply through eye contact. Specifically eye contact with an an active sharingan, making them quick to activate and hard to distinguish when someone it about to use a genjutsu. Normal genjutsu will normally use hand seals and or some other activation mechanism such as a sound or motion.
Hmm, the best way would be to try my very best to make sure eye contact is established between myself and my opponent. How to go about that is another issue, maybe in a close range taijutsu fight I might have a decent change at getting close enough to force eye contact. Converse to that, being at mid-range and simply standing still may also work as my opponent would be scanning me for any signs of action to make there counter to.
First question... can someone re-word that description? xD
Second, is this the jutsu Itachi ued against Kurenai in the original series when Itachi came to check up on Sasuke? Itachi used it to reverse Kurenai's Similar to Illusion Technique: Tree Binding Death, trapping her in it instead?
*As you place me under a genjutsu, making me believe I am being lifted into the air and bound by vines growing from the ground, I use my sharingan to first identify this is a genjutsu. I then release chakra through my sharingan to not only mimic the jutsu it self but now lay it on yourself, making it appear to you that you are now being held by vines.*
@__@
Sorry, this is a new thing to me so the my descriptions are bound to be... messy xD
Breaking this genjutsu would be difficult at first as you'd first have to identify that you where asleep. The most common method for breaking this is the dreaded Chidori Nagashi as I'd think you'd be unable to use hand seals. However, I still don't know how to identify if this as a genjutsu if I were to be caught in it. >_<
Yes, I see your point.
I think I'd be able to sense my drowsiness as I fall under the genjutsu or I'd notice interdependencies with what I see compared to what I'm hearing around me. If I hear my opponent running at me but all I see is them standing there, it would be obvious to me I'm trapped in a genjutsu. Then a process of elimination would be followed to work out if I can use Kai, or if I hear my opponent too close, I'd use Nagashi.
Do you still want me to perform the Genjutsu? O__O
(Doujutsu: Shiranui) - Eye Technique: Phosphorescent light
Rank: C
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user will cast an illusion to make the opponent see six copies of the user that detonate simultaneously harming the target. The explosions are explosive kunai to deal damage whilst the enemy is distracted in the genjutsu.
Note: Requires tomoe 3 sharingan.
I give away for this being a genjutsu is that no hand seals would be performed and six clones would be formed, where as a limit of four has been established in this RP. Another give-away would be that the clones seem to appear out of no where, and do little but run at the target. If the target is really good, they should be able to hear the explosive tags as they burn en-route. From these cues, I would then perform a Kai, as this jutsu doesn't paralyse me and is a low enough rank for the Kai to release me.
( Genjutsu: Sharingan ) - Illusion Technique: Copy Wheel Eye
Rank: C - S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15 - 40
Damage points: N/A
Description: This technique is simply the use of generic genjutsu used by members of the Uchiha clan. By simply having their opponents look into their eyes, the Uchiha can lock the user within a genjutsu of their choosing.
Note: Can only be used with 3 tomoe sharingan
Countering this jutsu would depend on exactly what it was. If it where a low rank visual genjutsu, it would be a matter of noticing sensory misalignments between what I see and what I hear, feel etc. In that case, a Kai would suffice. As it gets up to higher ranks, I would just have to work out the gen and then decide if Nagashi (for B-rank) or kai (for up to S-rank, non paralysis) or a jolt of pain would work.
Question about this gen. It says C-S rank, do I just simply state the rank of the gen I put someone under and then describe the effects of it (Like paralysis, pain etc)?
