This may be the most irrational thing I've asked up here. But Descartes said, "I think therefore I am". How does this statement verify one's existence? How could one determine if their existence is real? This question just annoys me. Thoughts please.

You exist for you have been given a purpose, or you can create your own purpose, but alone you will be unable to fully tap into your original design, for we have fallen beyond measures now, yet again there is power in weakness, which should be strived for, for the haughty will be cutted off.

Thoughts are created by our consciousness, therefore your creating your own reality.

OT: The question can't be answered, it varies between each persons view on things.
Btw isn't that taken out of context? Meaning that descartes believes that consciousness is what defines a man, and a man without consciousness which I believe refers to free will isn't 'existent'. And not a question about existence as a whole.

Hope is an illusion? Hope is going through to the end even when you're down. That kind of thinking is dangerous.
