With the burn under his eyes it looks like you've made him blushing...it's kind of awkward.

very nice for a first try. I especially like the colors!


3 things though. first, selestial is right. insrtead of making the sheeks darker, you should make them lighter. also, you might want to clean tha pic before you color it. finally, you should stry to sill in all those black areas.

thx for all the comments. i appreciate the advice. i get what you mean about the marks under his eyes... if he's dying, he'll be pale instead of flush.

about the noise, i was going for the effect of this being a scan of a real manga. so i added the noise to give a newspaper-print feel.

i only spent a 1/2 hr on it, so i'll mess around some more and then see how it comes out.
