You're just assuming that the frog must return to myobuki. Even then, it's a theory and it has it's fails =P. And there is a reason why he wouldn't have contacted anybody: he had lost an arm and couldn't make jutsus. All he could do was go inside the frog and rest there.

I didn't say the frog must take him to myobuki, I just said it was the most obvious place to go. Regardless it was his home and he would have returned there eventually. Jiraiya having been injured isn't a good reason for him to not contact his friends, that makes no sense. You're really just grasping for straws at this point.

As for your comment about raikage and amaterasu...him losing an arm had nothing to do with his speed or his ability to dodge amaterasu. When he did that, Sasuke was using amaterasu as a shield. He stupidly punched through it and he knew full well that he was going to pay for it. Again, it had NOTHING to do with the speed of the jutsu, so that counter was completely fail. You're once again, grasping for straws because you don't have a good argument.

While I certainly would want to see Jiraiya back I very much doubt that he'll return, unfortunately. His death was just too well made for it not being an actual death.

Not just the emotions behind it, but the actual death was the raw definition of overkill. Crushed throat, cut off arm, five rods to the back. That death was just gruesome and perfect for the series. I hope he speaks to Naruto (subconsciously perhaps), but I definitely don't want him to come back.

Three reasons why I agree with OP:

1. No one dies in this manga. Not Hiruzen, Not Minato, Not even the First or Second Hokage. Eventually they will be brought back into the story until it officially ends. People thought that was the end of Itachi honestly and the guy ends up coming back. Sasuke ends up reviving Orochimaru back into the story. Kabuto ends up reviving Madara and shit. Obito was thought to be dead, but amassed severe butthurt for his childhood crush. Kushina was supposed to be dead and the last of her was living inside of Naruto.

2. If the other two Sannin can survive being split in half, survive a tail beast blast and etc.. Why not Jiraiya, if he managed to live through that Tailed Beast Blast from Naruto I'm pretty sure Pain rods didn't get the best of him. I bet he is also hiding in Naruto's seal.

3. The body couldn't be found by Kabuto because of the ocean and bla bla. Him being part Hozuki and having Manda II wasn't able to retrieve the body of Jiraiya from the Sea.

I love answering questions and arguing with peaople about my theories, because that way I can see if my theory is plausible or not, and maybe make it an even better theory. Well, let's go:

First point: Jiraya's returning to myobuki.

Let's face it: you're just forcing the facts. Besides, I'm not saying Jiraya is alive, I'm just considering this possibility, that's because it's a theory. Kishi could give us one last proof that Jiraya is really dead showing us that his signed name vanished from those special myobuki's rocks (I don't quite remember if they are really rocks, but still, you understood my point). And it isn't, as you say, obvious that Jiraya should eventually come back to myobuki, as he literally can't do any jutsu that requires hand seals, because he doesn't have an arm (that IF he is alive). And there can be other possibilitiies too.

Second point: Jiraya doesn't contact any friends.

And here I find a hole in my theory. All I cand do is just throw a bunch of possibilities, as the manga apparently doesn't give us any hint about Jiraya:

1. Jiraya could be researching about Rinnegan, and he doesn't make contact with his friends because he finds his research more important than that.
2. Jiraya can be anywhere as a spy, and can't contact his friends.
3. Along with the other two possibilities, Jiraya finds it useful to keep his survival in secret.
4. Jiraya could be researching about the clan Uzumaki, and if that's true, maybe we will return very soon.

And lots of other even less plausible possibilities...

Third point: Naruto is in his actual state weaker than Sasuke.

It doesn't matter if Naruto is faster, if there's an Amaterasu shield around Sasuke, he can't touch him. And if Naruto gets on Bijuu mode, this makes him an even bigger target for Sasuke's Amaterasu. Besides that, Sasuke has his Susanoo. Naruto's velocity is pointless against Sasuke's powers, and I'm not even considering Sasuke's new EMS powers here. And yet, Sasuke is still smarter than Naruto, no matter what you say. I'm not saying that Naruto couldn't even compete with Sasuke, but if they fight right now, it would end just like in the Valley of the End fight.

Naruto just need a last little upgrade to win against Sasuke.
