Just because it hasn't been used, doesn't mean it can't be used. Look at the facts; Yin Release can be learned thus, Genjutsu is a capability.

It is just an assumption until it happens in manga, which probably would never happen , since nagato is dead and all the other people with rinnegan already have a sharingan...

And tell me one thing, why didn't nagato use genjutsu on naruto , that time , naruto wasn't a perfect jinch, so he couldn't have escaped from the genjutsu...

Yeah Nagato was definitely capable of using Genjutsu, but I'm not sure if he bothered to master it.

A little bit off-topic, I believe Madara might potentially be able to use any and every sharingan genjutsu, he has the Kekkai Genkai required i.e Mangekyou, then he also has the Rinnegan, which allows him to use any nature, so its possible.

The only problem with that is that are different Mangekyou's considered different Kekkai Genkai's?

And to address the Madara knowing all the Uchiha based techniques: That is a possibility, and here's why. Madara went from Sharingan to Rinnegan. He by birth knows Uchiha based techniques (Susano'o, Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi etc.) The rinnegan no doubt should have allowed him (due to it's ability to learn ALL Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, Taijutsu, Yin, Yang, and Yin-Yang based techniques; The transcend from Sharingan to Rinnegan should allow him to know all Sharingan based techniques.

Naruto could still have had his Chakra disrupted, especially when in Kyuubi Mode (Tailed beast taking over) however, the approach you've taken is simply "because Nagato hasn't shown Genjutsu, means he doesn't have it" well maybe he doesn't specifically have it NOW, but he could have learned it based on this theory correct?

Step 1: Work on your grammar.

I totally agree since gen jutsu falls under the category of yin release I don't see how nagato couldn't use gen jutsu since he had all five chakra natures including yin and yan release aswell as yin-yang release

That's my realization on the situation as well. Let's take Obito using Izanagi here: Obito had Senju, and Uchiha DNA due to his Zetsu body, and his Uchiha origins. He possessed Yin/Yang Release because of the previously noted things; Izanagi takes both Yin/Yang Release to use.

So if Nagato possessed these things why couldn't he use Genjutsu (which Izanagi is)? What people need to realize is that, Nagato can use Genjutsu.

The rinnegan, gives the user basically, a affinity in all the chakra natures, and releases. It is up to the skill of the rinnegan user, to learn all those releases, and to choose to learn them. So far the rinnegan has not been like the sharingans copy abilities, so the user, must learn the techs from scratch. However as the rinnegan allows the user to see chakra flows, usually it is easier for the user to learn, than a normal ninja learning his elemental affinity. There is nothing that ever said that a rinnegan user cant use genjutsu.

I never mean't to be offensive regarding anything including and especially ur thread for which u have given me such great tips...
1)This is a internet forum and not a grammer exam so everything I write is well enough untill what I mean can be understood by the reader easily.
2)I apolozise if I hurt anybodies sentiments.But I don't have any better words for the sect of ppl which don't understand such obvious thing.And I dont think that I offended someone in such a way that I needed to be adviced for my behavioral ethics.
3) I do have enough understanding of how to deal with ppl.I have never commented anything which can be objected in my any 334 posts untill now in the forum.

Well of course,nagato could have learnt genjutsu . Genjutsu is something anyone can learn if they are intelligent enough. But that is not my point. Look nagato is a guy who kishi used to display all the powers of rinnegan, and nagato was never shown to use genjutsu which simply means rinnegan doesn't grant someone genjutsu abilities. Basically, genjutsu is not a "plus factor" of rinnegan.
