Hyuga Main Family

Somebody should clear this up for me, because I have no clue (and I'm usually good at piecing things together).

In this image, we see the Main family:

In this image, we see the Branch family including Hizashi and Neji:

My understanding is that anybody who is not part of the main family gets branded with the cursed seal, as well as anybody who does not carry the will of the Hyuga family. We know this because Hizashi, a twin brother of Hiashi, was branded with the cursed seal.

So my question is, who are these people alongside the main family? Why aren't they branded with the cursed seal since they aren't carrying the will of the Hyuga? If they are relatives of the Main Family, why did they get spared and not Hizashi/Neji? If everyone who is not inheriting the will of the Hyuga gets branded, why did Hinata get spared since she no longer carries the will of the Hyuga since she is inferior to Hanabi?

Well we don't know at what age Hizashi got branded so maybe the second born wont get branded until the first born officially takes over. To ensure the first born doesn't die before that or something

The developers of the anime better clear this up with the 8 or 9 possible anime episodes of filler, because it just seems inconsistent to me lol

I believe this makes the most sense, though it makes a glaring weakness in terms of "more unaffected byakugan carriers who could be compromised".

I don't get it at all. What the both of you are talking about doesn't make the least bit of sense to me. I don't understand how this whole, branded, main family, cursed seal, bullshit works.
