If Itachi trys to use Totsuka and ends up falling right into a Space-Time barrier trap, he could end up not only having his sword sucked in, but Susanoo along with himself as well.

But I apologize, I make this too difficult for Minato. Since Itachi would have to constantly keep Susanoo active just to keep from being one-shotted by FTG+Rasengan, all Minato would really have to do is run around for about 20-30 minutes and let Susanoo suck away at Itachi's already low chakra reserves and sick body. He'd be dead before he can lay a scratch.

this one shot thing happens only in the scenarios in your head (not in manga/anime fights). lets go over the BIG fights itachi had again ..... (all of them were not a straight up 1on1 and were in special circumstances) :

- nagato (3on1, edo itachi, controlled nagato).
- kabuto (2on1, edo itachi).
- orochimaru (desperate extremely weakened oro looking for a body).

itachi was awesome, one of my favorite and all but, give me a break. again there is a BIG difference between a character being so cool and being the strongest. the writer never even portrayed itachi as the strongest among the akatsuki, that was nagato who was the leader and the strongest (also people were wondering "how strong the leader of the akatsuki could be to keep such a strong group in check"). this itachi you're talking about is not the same one in this series ......
