[Discussion] Sakura Haruno blew it

We all know that its not the problem she is supposed to be the heroine of the manga and she is NOT also she is supposed to be one of the MAIN CHARACTER and we don't see her doing a thing then just healing and talking and very few panels with her

All in all Kishi failed with Sakura as a character , yes she will surpass Tsunade maybe even help tnj sasuke.... that will not make up for the redemption of 616 chapter's of her

Sakura fans are in denial.... beauty and cuteness does not make a MAIN CHARACTER or a Heroine

She is not even a support character at this point....

Yes she is a main character, and her healing as talking is more than any other girl has done in the k11 and most boys, she has done things in part2 that are worthy mention so i think her surpassing Tsunade will do something for her it may not redeem her in the eyes of the people that will hate Sakura for everything but that doesnt matter. She had to take on the role of a medic and that goes for all its rules if she was going to come up under Tsunade just like oro to sasuke and jiraya to naruto so when it's her time to shine I won't be disappointed because her becoming a medic, you can't make her go around fighting everyone.

But anyway healer = fodder to everyone apparently

Do not accuse all Sakura fans of being that way. She is intelligent and powerful (passed the written exams without cheating and put up a strong defense against Sasori). Loyal to her friends and made human mistakes like the rest. She created a cure for an incurable poison that saved Kankuro. Saved Hinata's life, healed Naruto, got the innocent people to safety during Pain's attack, uncovered the secrets of the Zetsu and figured out Tobi's technique. She even tried to kill the man she loved and defended Naruto when Sasuke attacked him.

Sakura is only useless to blind haters, people who think she needs to be fighting constantly (VS topics leave me to believe that's all fans care about) and because she cries. Well, Naruto cries too, just as much, but heaven forbid anyone picks on him for that! Sakura is no longer the Sakura from part 1 and people need to get over that and stop using anime/fillers as excuses.

She is intelligent to the point she knows she can do a think to get sasuke back and puts her faith on naruto and sasuke , she knows she cant do a thing....... powerfull nope just healing and chakra hit punch..... in the sasori battle she was helped by cihyo alot....

No one cares about Saved Hinata's life, healed Naruto ( Naruto can heal himself becuase of kyuubi chakra , Hinata if she died Nagato would have revived her )

No one cares about saving the innocent people and get them to safety during Pain's attack ( Nagato would have revived them in the end )

I agree she had a luck guessing tobi jutsu but still could not do a thing

Remember those filler episodes 290-295 called Power that was in the style of using movie animation that bent the timeline with a fake / semi incomplete tailed beast mode? Those episodes really sealed the nail in Sakura's likability to me because of the way she was treating Naruto. Hero of the Hidden Leaf fresh from defeating Pain. He gets "sick" from an unknown illness and all Sakura the medical ninja does is belittle him, hit him on the head and tell him to "tough it out". Way to go Sakura for showing us how big a ***** you are for A: your fellow teammate and B: the guy who would give his LIFE for you because he LOVES you. That is why I finally lost all respect for her as a CHARACTER within the Narutoverse.

So you hate Sakura because of a crappy filler. If you only consider episodes written by Kishimoto, you will notice that there are very few obnoxious outbursts, and in most cases, Naruto was indeed acting like an idiot.

I really like Sakura (manga character, not the filler type Sakura), because she is one of the few females in the story that have any depth or character, and stand on their own. She also makes me laugh. I was disappointed (though not surprised) when Naruto was paired with the bland and boring Hinata.

It's all about power and how many ninja's are taken out it seems. Poor Kishimoto would be disappointed as that's not the point to his manga.

Saltal, I gave one example that I stated nailed the final nail in the coffin with me. If you want a SERIOUS example, let's use this hypothetical. Do you think Sakura respects and LOVES Naruto enough to do what Hinata did for Naruto when Pain was about to kill/seriously harm him? Literally sacrifice herself to save Naruto? I am sure the Sakura backers would point out different instances that she might but with Hinata, there is absolutely NO DOUBT she would and she showed it. Again, I am not the typical "hater" and thank you for being civil Melanee as again, I used to kind of like Sakura and hoped she would grow as a character with more panel/screen time but for this discussion, I just personally feel that she simply does not give Naruto the love or respect in ACTION, not words that Naruto should clearly have after all of the things he has done throughout his life to protect Konoha, others and especially her (at least in respect and admiration) even if he does act childish at times! That is all I am saying. A little concern and affection would go a LOOOOONNNNGGGG way if given to Naruto.

From a western perspective yes. However Asian looks at it different. We look at what Sakura does as abuse, but over there it's seen as a bit of comedic relief. Submissive girls are hot over there too. That's why when you look at pairing wars in Japan NaruSaku has a large fanbase. It can go either way since Kishi is Asian.

Submissive girls are hot over there too. That's why when you look at pairing wars in Japan NaruSaku has a large fanbase. It can go either way since Kishi is Asian.

Now that I think about it, you are right! We are viewing females in manga/anime like North American women, but in reality this is a Japanese story by a Japanese man. Apparently even his wife looks like Sakura people have stated. Women are viewed differently there, and I've met many Japanese female actresses/singers to know they are humble, quiet and polite.

I think why I am so disappointed in the fact that the possibility of Naruto and Sakura realistically getting together is because Sakura's personality type is soooo much like his mom's whereas Hinata's is so far from it. I mean his mom even hoped that he would get together with someone like her (Hint Hint: Sakura is the closest). Look how Naruto came to being with a Minato/Kushina pairing! But Minato was a genius level ninja in skill and intelligence whereas Kushina was more of a guts and determination ninja with a mastery of sealing techs. Maybe it is a good thing that Naruto and Hinata is a major possibility looking at it that way......

I do want to comment on the Sakura passing Tsunade point.

That alone is the problem.

When part one ended, Naruto Sasuke and Sakura were supposed to be the next sannin if you will.

Naruto surpassed j-man by leaps and bounds and moved on to surpassing hashi.

Sasuke surpassed oro by leaps and bounds and moved on to surpassing Madara if you will.

Sakura couldn't defeat Tsunade STILL and shows NO SIGNS OF EVER DOING SO.

Meh I do agree to some extent on some peoples beliefs on Sakura.

Yes she is loyal to some extent as well, however people have to remember when Sasuke was about to leave Konoha she did volunteer to go with him so it's alright defending her saying she's loyal, smart etc when some of her actions have proven these statements false.

However it's also wrong to say she's weak as Sakura relies heavily on Taijutsu alone she doesn't have techniques like Sasuke or Naruto so obviously it's going to limit her combat ability.

All in all my take on Sakura would be she's really shallow when it comes to romance and can be annoying and a bitch however she can be kind and is also smart...do her pro's and cons equal each other out who knows I'm sure Kishi will develop her later.

As far as personality, Naruto acts like his mom way more than his dad. Minato's personality is not like Naruto, Sakura OR Hinata's
