Madara predicted the outcome of the whole thing simply by observing the movements of the village. Remember he said he was coming back for revenge. Im assuming this was around the same time he learned about the nine tails, Itachi causes the massacre, meaning that this must have happened in secrecy between Tobirama and Sarutobi, But then at the same time, I think Minato was probably still a jonin when he was training his team., Since Jariaya was opted for the role of Fourth hokage and decided Minato should be the one to talk his position. What Im saying really is, the whole thing seems to follow the whole path of deception, as the senju and uchiha saw that Hashirama was the reason for the clans nbanding together, when it was a test between two old friends. Madara saw that Hashirama was willing to give his life for his brothers, and also realized he was not willing to stay and fight with his clan even though the attack on the village was imminent. Instead of waiting and proven the village wrong, he left and in turn created the reason for the clans extinction. This would be around the time that Tobirama and Sarutobi were hokage, and in Obitos attack during time of Sarutobi and Minato, Im assuming that the villages decided the Uchiha were a threat after the second attack, which opted itachi during the Sarutobi and Tsunade/Danzo term to exterminate the clan, when they realized itachi had spared Sasuke, they decided to place him on the same team as Naruto for the fact that Uchiha are the only known clan to be able to summon and control the tailed beast. Whatever the outcome is, Madara was the reason that the Leaf had the most effective team in the Leaf village. The Uchiha Sasuke and Jinchuuriki Naruto, Im assuming Sasuke will be the one to control the Nine tail Naruto as Naruto's conscience effectively controls the use of chakra from the inside of Kurama.
