If NK TRIED to F with US....US would RAPE NK.....the war wouldn't last a month because china helping them is the only thing that can make the war last longer but china is currently backing off and telling them to stop

China is done with them. They wouldn't do shit if NK got invaded, it's A) to financially straining on a industrializing country and B)NK is just obnoxious.

Well said.

China's interests in the US are complicated, but they're taking a page indirectly out of our playbook. After the US used the war economy to become a superpower, WWII before entering the US supplied weapons and continued throughout the war, Russia and the US clashed. They were economic and geopolitical foes. Both countries were indirectly involved in the "unoffical" wars both fought during the time leading up to and throughout the Cold War period. The US supplied the afghan rebels to help them continue fighting the Russians. Those rebels included Bin Laden and it worked.

Look at what is going on today. China is rumored to be supplying the Syrian rebels, they along with Russia are blocking votes on the global level dealing with Iran, hackers from inside their country are attacking US accounts, and reports of N. Korea buying materials from China have popped up. So to answer your question this is where they get their confidence from. History repeats itself.

If I can be serious for a brief moment:

China is taking the U.S for an absolute joke; they steal right up in front of your noses and the higher ups just take it on the chin.

It actually makes me think that loon romney was right about something.

I agree with you. China's been acting very bold when it comes to US interests because like when we picked at Russia, Russia and her allies were in no position to do much about it. They were stretched too thin. Our military is exhasuted from war, I've got friends serving who can attest to this, and our economy is still slowly holding on. The only thing going for us is that China's economy is slowing as well and other industrialized nations are pushing to level the playing field by pressuring China to partake in Cap and Trade. Romney was right in the sense that any problems with China must be handled carefully for both the global economy and US security. The probelm is he didn't have many answers, only touched up ideas the current adminstration and the prior implemented.

The kims do have power and i see that a possible reason for their confidence is their new young and unwise, untested and unexperienced leader who could cause problems, young blood you see.

Lets break it down and look at yearly military budget.
USA #1- $689,591,000,000
China #2- $129,272,000,000
Russia #3- $64,123,000,000
Canada #13- $23,082,000,000
North Korea #?- roughly $10,000,000,000

North Korea would go down in history as the most thoroughly raped country in history. Their cities would be in worse shape then Warsaw after World War 2.

Where is North Korea getting their confidence from? Seriously, every week there's always news about North Korea on high alert, preparing to launch an attack on South Korea and/or US, and I sit here pondering about their reasoning and decisions.

They clearly don't give a damn about the UN, is it maybe because they think China will back them up even though they are only allies on certain terms? China has been warning North Korea about their actions as of late out of the US's request, but is that all for show?

Yes both Kim Jong(s) were nutcases but it is not them who truly possesses the power, its the notorious government. I do feel for the people of North Korea, I'm sure they have no say against their government.

Opinions?

I don't mean to sound crazy or anything but if it's true about north and south korea i have a bad feeling about this cause there's supposed to be a prophecy about stuff leading to WW3 and it mentions something about stuff happening between the king of the north and the king of the south and i'm wondering if the king of the north and king of the south represent north and south korea but anywayz it's what my friend told me i don't know whether to believe him or not but he's been comparing certain world events with prophecies and most of the stuff seems legit.

Only prophecies I believe in are those of the prophets and they are long gone now.
