[Discussion] North Korea's Confidence?

Where is North Korea getting their confidence from? Seriously, every week there's always news about North Korea on high alert, preparing to launch an attack on South Korea and/or US, and I sit here pondering about their reasoning and decisions.

They clearly don't give a damn about the UN, is it maybe because they think China will back them up even though they are only allies on certain terms? China has been warning North Korea about their actions as of late out of the US's request, but is that all for show?

Yes both Kim Jong(s) were nutcases but it is not them who truly possesses the power, its the notorious government. I do feel for the people of North Korea, I'm sure they have no say against their government.

I really think it's dumb, but can we really hate the people of North Korea? They were brainwashed into a certain belief against us.

I don't think the "super countries" fear NK, more like a nuisance really. Its diplomatic matters that keep super countries from acting agressive against NK.

China is done with them. They wouldn't do shit if NK got invaded, it's A) to financially straining on a industrializing country and B)NK is just obnoxious.
