Kurama is ems madara's power, its a ninja tool to the ones who possess the right techniques in order to control/supress it (seals, dojutsu, mokuton)

Not sure what point you are trying to make? But my point was that if they were in fact equal madara would have challenged Hashirama without the need of going an enslaving the strongest tailed beast. Therefore since madara himself knew there was a gap between the two he went and did that and even then he still lost.

Im saying that he went to get kurama because he could. Its literally a free powerup to those who possess MS (madara was the only one). yeah that makes sense for hashi to know seals like minato does..and since he knows seals form uzumakis
madara gaining the tailed beasts is his version of the seals hashirama gained..
they sorta go hand in hand in a way, as I believe the 9tails was meant for the uzumaki's kinda.
they have the bodies and seals for the strongest tailed beast and the rikudo sage was prob an uzumaki(lineage)

so when madara loses with kurama its kinda like one on one loss to hashirama cuz its used as a summon kinda

Edo Madara needed to perform seals to break through edo tensei, Hashirama didn't even need that.
Hashirama owned Madara with the kyuubi, this time its the rinnegan which madara obviously cant use on so6p level so it wouldn't matter.
