Why Madara did not beat hashirama with Tsukyomi or genjutsu ?I smell PNJ

Hashirama broke edo tensei.

Genjutsu should be a walk in the park.

what about tsukuyomi?

The known weakness of tsukuyomi is a uchiha descendent with sharingan and tailbeast host (only for sasuke tsukuyomi) can break out of tsukyomi.Hashirama did not have any tailbeasts along with him to fight Madara in any battle we have seen.We knew hashirama had tailbeasts for certain period of time before he distributed them to other villiages for peace.


Madara could also end hashirama similar to the raikage with genjutsu

Madara was able to get Raikage because Raikage was tired already. He never try his genjutsu at the start when Raikage had his lightning armor. A Shinobi such as Raikage with acute chakra control cannot fall for a genjustsu if his batteries are charged, and this is true for Hashirama.

Besides, Guy Sensei can fight Sharingan. Recall Itachi retreated when Guy explained his tactics.

Its has already been stated that Hashirama and Madara have fought each other several times and know each others jutsu very well, on top of that the Senju had been fighting the Uchiha for generations before that. I think the Senju would have found a counter to it by then else they wouldnt have been able to keep up with them.

With that being said Hashirama has the Bringer of Darkness genjutsu which he uses the counter the Sharingan user making neither of them able to see anything, and since the Sharingan user cannot see his opponent he cannot use visual genjutsu on them either.

Tsukuyomi is a genjutsu. Thats what hes talking about

Madara isnt a Genjutsu specialist nor does he have or shown highest level genjutsus like Tsukuyomi.

For a couple of reason(s)-

• Hashirama did not maintain eye contact with Madara
• Hashirama was able to somehow defy the genjutsu; Senju Cells do wonders
• Madara didn't use the jutsu
• The Uchiha learned how to use the jutsu after the fight

That is my take on this. Good find though.
