Sakura: What? Where is SHE? You left her out? MADMAN!

Personally I left Sakura out of this because she gets the most hate obviously. Plus, I can't really make an argument FOR her. I really dislike her character and she is an example of a female lead being done badly in my opinion. She makes genuine bad mistakes.

Soooooo.....What about Hinata? You're not gonna speak about her?

Hinata doesn't really get that much hate on here, not from what i've seen anyway. She's a good female lead that does cool things and people generally think she's cool for it. That's about all there is to it from her.

hinata used to be TOO GENTLE for the gentle fist, but she's come along way, a genuine ninja:)

Kishimoto said he doesnt know to develop female characters properly.

Most females in manga in general are weak in the beginning and mess up alot. They are labled as useless and get more critcism as they fail while their victories are overlooked.

Sakura
Orihime from bleach
Nami from One Piece
Lucy from Fairy tail etc..

Yes I know this, but it hasn't stopped Kishi from producing such strong, poignant female characters like Tsunade, Kurotsuchi and Hinata. These characters are fantastic and proof that he can write for female characters. Their development may not be as deep sometimes but they are just as strong in personality. Female characters around here, especially the strong ones get treated like sh*t.

Which is a shame because when anime female leads are done right they are REALLY DONE RIGHT.

Examples:

You must be registered for see images

Nia - Gurren Lagann

You must be registered for see images

Maka Albarn - Soul Eater (main character) (fantastic)

You must be registered for see images

Literally every female character in Ano Hana

You must be registered for see images

and Izumo from Blue Exorcist. Strong female characters are becoming very evident in Japanese manga and general media and Kishimoto himself as a range of good women characters. It's no excuse.

You're just proving my point. Disregarding them entirely.

I'm sorry that not every character can be Itachi.

they do serve their positions................,but I wish they weren't considered the weakest
members of their respective three-man squads.:( all the time

except maybe Anko, or Mei(even) ,

Sakura is an awful character from the start and it's painfully obvious- I think she's the main reason alone why we all get this gender mismatching on this website, it all stems from her badly written character and her poor, dislikable choices. Like knocking out her comrades, taking responsibility to kill Sasuke and then ultimately fail, endangering her life and lots of her friend's lives. Lying to Naruto knowing that he has feelings for her, being ready to abandon the leaf entirely just because Sasuke wants to run away (back in Part 1) constantly abuses Naruto, hitting him and treating him like garbage and shouts at Naruto & Sasuke for not doing anything in the Forest of Death when she is sitting comfortably up in some tree with a kunai like usual. She's a hypocrite and a weak character, I don't blame people for disliking her.

she got better, When she fought Sasori he stabbed her and while he still had the blade in her,
she healed herself during that moment, and maybe hit him I cant remember........
she also helped chiyo a great deal in that fight with taking a hit for her(maybe) and healing kankuro cuz she only knew how
after that they gained more info on sasori and deidara

That was ONCE. She was good in a fight ONCE. Remember when Karui & Omoi attacked them? Naruto & Sai reacted immediately and Sakura was just, oh I don't know- crying as usual and GOT IN THE WAY. Where did all that awesome battle technique go? Nowhere.

Also to be honest her being 'useless' isn't even a problem for me. Characters don't need strength to be good characters, it's her decisions that make her disliked and she really is just a bit of an obnoxious character.

Thanks; finally someone is giving some credits to them; people just act like most of the male characters are stronger than female ones; for example; if Kakuzu were to be a female; people link his defeat to Naruto to his/her gender. Females are generally pale in comparasion to the males in the manga; but they are not as bad as people make out to be.

she got rid of her obnoxiousness and just stayed annoying.:) that wasn't her only good fight momentU_U
she was brave enough to ask Tsunade to train her so she could be more useful...
AND,.............she is:)

Everything said here is true :')

Tsunade remains one of the most selfless, badass and coolest ninja in the entire show. Why she's given the hate she gets, i'll never know.
