If you think about it, discriminating & bullying keeps order and balance. Let me start by saying that by bullying I don't mean beating up a kid, taking lunch money or threats but the simple insult type of bullying.
In my country (Australia) I always see 'obese' girls in skin tight clothes and it's horrifying, yes it doesn't matter what you look like blah blah but if somebody would have insulted that obese girl (in a friendly way) she wouldn't be in the state she is right now.
My brother used to be chubby, I kept teasing him, called him fat, etc.. only because I wanted him to lose that extra 5-8 kg so he would be happier. And you know what he did after months of being bullied by me? He lost his weight.
Right now I don't know how to put it into words but you all know what I mean right?

but if I was to convert that to pounds, I'm assuming you mean he was super fat then became thin
