Nagato would pose a threat, but his lack of true mobility and Madara's monstrous Susanoo+Kyuubi combo would overwhelm the hell out of him.

Like KGB Kakuzu said, I think CQB would favor Madara due to the Sharingan predicting abilities. However, Madara's stamina is not on par with Nagato's, who could probably out last an entire army. Nagato was said to have not only large amounts of chakra, but it was exceptionally strong. Madara's chakra was also noted to be strong even for the Uchiha, but not large in amount. Nagato's strength>Madara's no contest (Asura Path; blocking a Jiraiya's punch, who was in Sage Mode, with a blinded Human Path with one hand).

Due to the lack of restrictions, I assume Kyuubi is permitted for Madara and the Animal Path is permitted for Nagato. I'm giving this fight to Nagato. He's mobile, probably faster, stronger, has Rinnegan. There isn't anything in Madara's arsenal that Nagato can't counter except for the Perfect Susano'o and Armored Kyuubi. Susano'o<Preta Path, Yasaka Magatama --- Shinra Tensei that crap. Madara can only prolong his defeat in my opinion, but when Madara pulls out the PS I don't know who'd win, Madara actually might win. Nagato's only chance of winning is to defeat Madara before the latter can use Perfect Susano'o, or to plainly out last Madara (which can be done).

Anything Nagato has besides CT is tanked by PS. CT is destroyed by multiple mountain busting slashes. Bijuu Dama was effortlessly tanked by PS with no to little damage. CST isn't destroying it so don't bother mentioning it. Using it is a horrible idea anyway as PS will tank it with little to no damage and Nagato won't be able to use Deva's powers for awhile which leads to him getting fodderized.

Due to the range and power of the sword slashes Nagato is never getting anywhere near Susanoo as the Kage were tossed in the air by a sword slash that wasn't even aimed for them so don't bother with that extremely flawed and ridiculous Preta Path>Susanoo tactic.

Gedo Mazo doesn't have the feats to stand against PS so don't bother mentioning it here. Any attack it has is tanked and it is beaten with multiple sword slashes.

Madara cannot pull out his PS unless he has the Rinnegan. It's just regular Susano'o as proved in the manga and me long ago. The rest is correct though. We're basically arguing with Madara fanboys.

I'm pretty sure Madara had Perfect Susano'o with Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. It's common sense, why would you need the Rinnegan to achieve a purely Mangekyou Sharingan technique? Tsunade questions how Hashirama was capable of overpowering Madara with his Perfect Susano'o - Madara retorts with stating that only Hashirama could defeat him.
