Why do people compare Hinata and Sakura to each other?

The fact that someone keeps thinking about who's better than whom as a character, is proof that no matter what do you do, there will always be people complaining. Sometimes, the amount of fans you have is directly proportional to the amount of haters. It's a pity that Sakura fans generally hate Hinata and viceversa, but it's kind of pointless to argue with these people. They care more about being right than about what actually happens with the story. Don't concern yourself with this kind. Thankfully, the Manga does not go one way or another because of them.

I'm saying this even though I dislike Sakura. I have my own reasons for doing that. I also love Hinata. But I'm perfectly capable of discussing one character without bashing another. Just like you ask why do people have to hate Sakura to love Hinata (or viceversa), I wonder why does the same thing have to happen with Naruto and Sasuke or Minato and Itachi.

I guess the hunger to nurture one's ego is strong.

We need more logical people....the above is how people should be.

For example, I personally do partake in an interest in the pairings...simply because I believe it adds a sense of reality to the story (can't think that 12 or so kids are seriously going to go around one another devoid of emotional connections).

HOWEVER, my interest in the story hardly revolves around the desire to see Character A and Character B get together...it is basically icing on the cake or background information that, while it is needed, doesn't need to be so heavily focused on.

Why people cannot respect one character while loving another is beyond me. The problem is that Hinata fans will see her pivotal roles and points she makes in the series, and between that, Sakura extremists (people who idolize her above and beyond), and Hinata haters....they feel naturally inclined to simply hate Sakura. Sadly it is exactly the same for the reverse scenario.....I think even above that is that fans who do go on to insult their rival character, go FURTHER in the fact that they insult fans of said character (for example the lady or gentleman who used the phrase, "Hinata-holics").

As humans we inherently love ourselves, and when an individual refuses to love or acknowledge our presence we are naturally inclined to be completely against that individual. So, when that enemy goes and insults what you like and then directly insults you for liking such a thing, we retaliate by doing the exact same thing.....

Which, as I said before, is rather sad as through fighting one another we lose respect for the characters Kishimoto has made IN ADDITION to the larger parts of the story that deserves more focus.

how is that my opinion???????????

Sakura has always been the heroine/tsundere since day 1
I will say this one last time...I am not asking who is the "heroine", my main question is "Why the f**king hell people think there is suppose to be a main heroine who takes everything?" Hinata is Hinata, and Sakura is Sakura, they are different characters for different purposes, they are not filling materials for the place of "main heroine", do not stuck with certain definitions too much.

Thanks for replying with common sense; you are one of the few on that department.
I do not even know why i had been called "Hinata-holic", i never made a fanboy/fangirl statement about her, heck i did not even said a think about Sakura.
And agreed, they are far more important points in the manga; yet people choose to hating each other in irrevelant arguements.

you simply asked about comparison OVERALL, so i answered it OVERALL

you need to be more specific next time

Wait that was directed at you o_O.....how does that even happen?!

Anyways you basically summed up my agreement rant in basically one sentence. While relationship issues are nice touches, not only should we not hate others (and their respective characters) for their opinions on the matter, but there are far more important things to consider.

Lol when someone (I believe Sasori of the Red Sand) brought up the Edo Kage I couldn't agree more.

When Hinata and Naruto held hands I gave myself a pretty big Yaaay moment, but when they came back I was like YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS XD! Getting to see Hashirama and Tobirama more was probably far more interesting than any love moment (or at least one on a battlefield XD....cuz that's kind of a bad idea to begin with lol)!

Read the first post next time, in fact there are more than one questions; sorry for the misunderstandings.

Yeah, i do not mind pairings, but getting a confirmation in the middle of the battlefield right after an important character's death seemed a little of to me.

There is always the other side; some people love Sakura, therefore they dislike Hinata(pretty good reasonings, huh?), it is pointless in both ways.
Also every character has their own importance in the series.

no other females to compare , ino is still trying to get choji out from the restaurant and Temari is plain awesome to be compared , Tenten is irrelevant

Just because they are females that does not mean they should be compared irrevelantly.

Hinata's love interest is Naruto, Naruto's love interest is Sakura, Sakura's Love interest is Sasuke. Sasuke and Naruto get compared with eachother essentially for the same reason Hinata and Sakura do.

Yeah but the difference between those examples is that one pair has a rivalry. The other never had one. Sakura has only ever declared a rivalry with Ino.

This explains a part of what i am trying to say... Hinata and Sakura's only relevance is being in a love triangle, this is a stupid reason for the never ending and meaningless comparasions and hate replies.
