Again, I am astonished.
Another thing this proves is that their probably is not one single true antagonist in Naruto. I guess Kishi likes to keep realistic morals and apply them to Naruto. Nobody is actually "born" evil or with evil intentions. There is always a catalyst that triggers said evil intentions.
Orochimaru - Odds are, his parents dying and Konoha's involvement. This parallels Sasuke.
Madara - Shown to be extremely happy and giddy in his youth, almost Naruto-like. It wasn't until his brothers "sacrifice" in vain, that pushed him over the edge. This was Madara's catalyst.
Obito - Direct parallel with Naruto. Rin died by Kakashi hands who Obito considered to be his best friend. Obito is the spitting image of what Naruto would become if he gave in to the Nine-Tails hatred and hold spite against Konoha.
Sasuke - Konoha's obvious involvement with the Uchiha massacre (Manipulating Itachi's loyalties first and foremost).
I could honestly go on for days with this
