[Discussion] The Blackbeard Pirates vs The Straw Hat Pirates

Got pretty bored today so I was wondering who will be facing who during the match-up of Blackbeard and Mugiwara!Though its still nearly impossible to decide, I've come up with a couple of match ups.

Blackbeard Pirates from Left to Right: Blackbeard, Shiliew, Jesus Berger, Van Auger, Laffitte, Avalo Pizarro, Catelina Devon, Doc Q w/ his horse Stronger, Vasco Shot, and Sanjuan Wolf.

The match ups I envisioned are actually almost dead on for the most part except for Sanji, Franky, and Nami's who all you have to do is shift them one to the left (Sanji getting the person under Nami, Nami getting the person under Franky, and Franky getting the person under Sanji).




1. Obviously Blackbeard will fight Luffy

2. 99% Sure that Van Auger and Ussop will fight

3. Pretty sure Chopper will fight Doc Q

4. Zoro will fight either Laffitte or Shiliew

5. Sanji will end up fighting whoever of the two Zoro doesn't fight

6. Franky seems to have the same build up as Jesus Berger in attidtude and just being as were Berger seems like a wreslter, Franky was a boxer.

Pretty much after that it comes down to who knows...

7. Nami may fight Avalo Pizarro as he has some cat refrences (she's a cat-burgler)

8. If Jimbei joins he'll probably face off against Sanjuan Wolf

9. Robin will probably face off against Caterina Devon

10. Brook is left with Vasco Shot

Zoro and Sanji's fights are could end up very interesting....Laffitte to me seems to be the number 2 guy so I was leaning towards him being Zoro's enemy, but it is unclear whether he has a sword; hence, why Shiliew may be his enemy. But then I thought of something even more creative....what if it turns out that Laffitte is in fact a leg fighter similar to Sanji.

If so, Zoro may actually end up fighting Laffitte while Sanji fights Shiliew....it would be ironic as they always fight one another and here they are taking on opponents that easily represent their rivalvry!

On a lesser side note...kinda hoping Robin isn't stuck against Caterina as it just feels like she's being pawned off against the strongest female (only female) member of the Blackbeard Pirates where I personally feel she can fight someone stronger....of course assuming Devon is weaker than some of the other Blackbeard Pirates other than the Monster Trio's enemies.

What are your thoughts or what is your list?!

I always thought Laffitte would go against Nami (they're both navigators anyway, so Role vs. Role would be good)

These are great matchups, but we should also take into account possible future crewmates BB and Luffy will have later on.

Yeah I thought about that too, and at first almost thought it was even better, but I felt Laffitte seemed to be the number 2 man to me....or at least the number 3! Hence why he was selected to elect Blackbeard as a Shichibukai!

EDIT: Yeah part of that was possible new recruits was Jimbei!!! Its almost impossible to predict what person BB would recruit XD, but we may also have Momonosuke and Kinemon to add to the Straw Hats....would be kinda funny if BB added two cowboys to the team....an East vs West fight (though Robin Pre-Timeskip would have been a nice match up for that possibility)!

Nami won't fight Lafitte. Simply put, Lafitte is way too strong for her.

You never know Auger might do something that really angers Ussop like killing his father, and to be honest in them type of situations I don't see Ussop losing.

I think lining up the list of SH and BB from strongest to weakest would be a way to eliminate some matchups but unfortunately we don't know much about the strength of BB's crew at all, but
I definitely think the strongest are well obviously BB himself, Shiryu, Lafitte, Pizarro and then Van Augur, but it still makes sense for Usopp to fight Van Augur for example. Kinda impossible to know the matchups since we hardly know
what weapons the BB pirates use

Yeah that's exactly right! Without knowing the BB Crew its basically impossible to go on nothing, but what we know about a few, and just match up based on looks...

Was watching some OP the other day and saw back during Marineford when Shiryu went all swordsmen on some marines and was pretty sure that this was the swordsmen for Zoro....then was still thinking Laffitte with his cane could be a swordsmen, and I guess I just figured Laffitte was the number 2 man and a swordsmen so there we go. Then Sanji could finally defeat a swordsmen to prove his strength or something like that (in the sense that he can fight swordsmen).

What makes you put up Pizzaro so much just out of curiousity?!
