[Discussion] Hypothetical situation [Moral issue]

Before anything, let me just say that this came to me while watching Californication for some reason...

Imagine the following situation:

-Married couple starts discussing having a baby (topic brought up by wife)

-Husband doesn´t want one so his wife gets angry and things start to get sour

-Not long after this “fight”, the wife starts having “fun” (IYKWIM) with other men out of anger and desperation

-Husband is unaware of the situation but wants to save the marriage so he agrees to have a kid (but not before doing a vasectomy – let´s say the procedure is 100% effective)

-They start looking more like a couple again and life goes back to normal

-A few weeks later the wife breaks the news to her husband (surprise surprise) telling him that she´s pregnant.

-Angered by this, the husband immediately accuses her of cheating on him, backed up with the fact that he had done a vasectomy

-She´s clearly to blame but in order to defend herself she uses the vasectomy to turn the argument in her favor, telling him that in a way he also wasn´t loyal.

-Moral dispute kicks in.

Still, there´s gotta be an action that overcomes the other in terms of pure disrespect for the relation.

How was the guy wrong? A relationship is a two way street, he didn't want to have kids so they should have just left it at that. Though he was being considerate enough to change his mind, he got a vasectomy. There are many ways to have a kid, for example, foster care :|
