Jiraiya was honestly one of the best Senseis in the entire series, hands down.

Jiraiya did a lot more for naruto than training him.He was a mentor ,a godfather,etc.It is because of his efforts that naruto is so determined to spread peace right now.It is because of his death tha the hidden leaf was saved,due to the intelligence he provide,....i could go on forever!!!

As far as training Naruto, I will say that Kishi messed that up. Naruto came back with a bigger rasengan, and he used that big shuriken thing ONE TIME, then never again. But Jiraiya has been instrumental throughout the entire series. He is at the very core of the story. A lot of stuff comes from him. Student of Hiruzen, sensei to Nagato, Yahiko, Konan, Minato, Naruto, friends with Oro and Tsunade.

He specified in the thread and if peoole are to lazy to read then thats their problem. His thread isnt bad all because Jiraiya was great, people like think jiraiya is the greatest ninja ever to live all because of an awesome death and fight with pein.

OT: I kinda agree because Naruto didnt really get all that powerful except for some variations of the rasengan, smarter, and learned to control the kyuubi more besides that there wasnt much of a difference from vote Naruto

Ero senin played most important part in part 2 since it was Ero senin who insisted Tsunade to bring in Yamato and plus he also gave kakashi the suppressing seal in order to suppress the 9tails .......

Plus how can you forget the fact he was the one who fought toe-to-toe with pain and came up with the theory along with the code which can be only used by Naruto to defeat Pain

Your title is something what defines an epic fail, read what you wrote twice before you post it.
And Naruto would not improve this much without him, Jiraiya taught him the rasengan(basics of some of Naruto's Jutsus), summoning(without summonings he would not be able to learn sage mode), dispelling genjutsu, and more importantly how to be a fine ninja who never gives up.

Jiraya was a TRUE legend, a really powerfull shinobi, very smart and funny person and also was very wise man that cannot be replaced.
Even Itaachi and Kisame admited that facing him while they had to capture Naruto was extremle dangerous and hard even for THEM, the most dangerous team of Akatsuki
