no wonder, This forum is very big for a shout box =\
Although I must say, the shout box lowers the spam rate in the forum, instead of getting infracted for spamming, just shout in the box

yeah i remember that one when NB crashed for updates or something

actually there are only around 500 active users here so it wouldn't heavy the forum that much and some people are here for only the predictions so they wouldn't use it that much i saw the shout box in a forum with more then 2000 online members + it had a skin and etc. just like here so it wouldn't heavy the forum that much

I don't support this either :S we have many ways to chit chat in here and hundreds of threads for random posting and discussion.
I don't know if it will make the forum heavy and slow but UchihaObito is right, it will be the largest spam section
