[Discussion] Gap years / Working holidays

Ok, so i'm halfway through a gap year at the moment working in a fine dining restaurant on a ski resort in Canada (Sunshine village ski resort, Banff, Alberta: if you can, do a gap year here, it's awesome) and my visa lasts until November. I'm trying to apply for another year but with you being able to apply online for Canada now, the site f*cks up and they all go instantly.

I plan on staying here for the summer, then me and the lady are going to tour the states for a bit, then we were thinking of 1-2 years doing a working holiday in New Zealand, in Queenstown to be exact. It looks amazing there...

So anyone been to Queenstown? Anyone got any other recommendations? Or any questions about gap years?

Yeh i did 3 years at college (in England), i did 3 years because i wanted to study six things instead of 2

Oh, that sounds great. I'm planning to go to college soon, and it sounds like a good way to escape the schoolwork. So I'm assuming it takes a lot of preplanning to do one right?
