My Very first (lame) Typography attempt

Well Drizzy shared one of his typographic posters in here which were really awesome and I thought that I might come up with something like this too. So I took one of the quotes from my favorite song (Figure 8 - ellie Goulding) and thought I'd give it a go.I wanted to be more creative than this ofcourse but I dunno, I thought I'd share whatever I ended up with so far and get your feedback.
The quote here is saying :
"You promised forever and a day, and then you take it all away!"​

Oh and I copied the same color combination from what Drizzy did too because I couldn't come up with anything. I hope he doesn't minds. :s

I didnt even know this was typeograpy tbh it thought typ. was only when you used words to make a picture but for what it is

there is a little gap between the d line straiht down and it is off at the bottom meaning it doesnt line up

i dont really like the ligting it feels forced vs blends in

i would have liked to see more then just 2 colors

other then those 3 things tho it looks good

Umm I thought Using texts as it is refers to typography too...Since there's a whole category in deviantart so its valid.
Didn't get what gap you meant.
The lightning was just a...well I thought it looked cool.
I'll remember using more colors next time...

ya your prolly right tbh it was just that i didnt know typograpy included that style there

the colors thing is more just something id like to see its not anything you did wrong

the lighting is ok it just doesnt blend the best it kinda stands out for me

and the gaps i mean are in the pic below the red circle shows the gap and the green one shows where its off so it does not look like one straight consistant line

It's quite good actually. I think you just need to work on your alignment, especially on those d's. I'm not too sure if I like the pattern, but it does work ;D

OH, I used the line tool to make that. I thought no one was gonna notice that. I'll make sure I do more stuff with it to look better.
and I just made the lightning to hide the plain poster. I wont use it again...Maybe. But thanks for everything.
