I'll be honest, even though he's a fav of mine, he's made a lot of mistakes imo.

Kakashi even admitted as much to Sakura when he saved her from Sasuke's attack (which interestingly enough is the same attack that killed Rin). He said he gave her false hope, neglected her and Naruto and focused too much on the student who is now their enemy and causing them pain.

When Obito was trying to tear Naruto's mind apart for letting Neji die, Kakashi only said his name. I really thought right there and then he would talk to Obito, instead he turned and told Naruto the true meaning behind his words about not letting friends die, and how once again it was just words that held no truth unlike what Naruto was led to believe.

Kakashi's made a lot of mistakes and it might cost him his life, be he will most likely end up doing the right thing and finally redeem himself of all his sins.

Kakashi is a tragic figure in Narutoverse. Kishimoto should make sure to redeem him.
He is one of my favorites too, even if he screwed up badly several times. Characters don't need to be perfect and authors don't need to do anything to make them seem like they are perfect.

I agree, and like Sakura and Itachi, it's how human they are that makes me like them. They all failed and made many mistakes, but their hearts were always in the right place. Itachi redeemed himself, now it's Kakashi and Sakura's turn to do the right thing.

I truly feel there should be some closure between Kakashi and Obito before it's all over. I keep thinking it relates in someway to Kakashi's Sharingan eye, which is as we all know, Obito's.
