Did Kakashi just screw up?

That's getting ridiculous already.His former friend, now enemy , keeps calling him trash ( the frequency is amazing, the originality, not very so ) and accuses him of being the reason that his long lost love got killed.
One would expect Kakashi to respond. Say something, anything.
Apologizing would be ridiculous obviously. But if he isn't the one to blame then he should say so.
So why doesn't he explain himself? Tell Obito how things really were and what were the circumstances that forced him to act that way.

So point one : Don't you think it's high time he spoke to him? Don't tell me he doesn't have time. Obito chit chats all the time with Naruto (he even pauses his attack to do so).

And point two: If Kakashi finally speaks, and has some good reason to support his past actions, do you think that Obito would change his mind? It would be awkward at least.

And finally, do you think that Kakashi really has a reason for killing Rin or did he just screw up? Judging from his behavior since that incident.


Personally I think he screwed up big time (or at least he thinks so) and that's the reason why he can't even talk.

1-i think it would be right to start talking but obito is a stubborn guy... he would probably not even want to hear anything from kakashi
2-if obito still has a heart i'm sure he would but like i said he is stubborn i doubt he will think its true
3-i think he really had a reason kakashi isnt the type to kill for know reason even when he was young he had good judgement
i think rin is to blame she must have betrayed kakashi or the leaf that forced kakashi to kill her

I'm pretty sure that Obito silenced Kakashi when he tried to do this, I don't remember exactly but wasn't it along the lines of "I don't care any more about it". It's like he's just given up on his moral reasoning and is just using Rin as his excuse but because he's so crazed it's not even his real motive anymore.

Kakashi's been screwing up since he entered the story, I mean he plays favorites with Sasuke and look how that went...it doesn't really surprise me that he killed Rin especially after the scene he had where he asked Sakura to kill Naruto to save Sasuke at the beginning of the series.

You have to remember rin's death was during the time of the third great ninja war..where each village was trying to get the the upper hand on the other villages..and it was said that the ninja's who attacked kakshi and rin were after rin for sum reason..nd in other to protect konoha kakashi did what had to be done..jst like kisame who killed master for divulging village secrets to their enemies..he did so without questioning the decision...so kakashi should do the same

If a mission ends with you stabbing your teammate through the heart, then no matter what the reason, something went horribly wrong. So I'd say yeah, he screwed up, big time. Even if Rin turned out to be a spy for another village or whatever (highly doubt it) how the f*ck wouldn't he -- supposed child prodigy -- have noticed it before? No matter how you look at it, it's stupid.

If anything, we'll probably be more surprised about why Rin was targeted... That might actually be the turning point for Obito.

This would be bad writing. The author shouldn't do whatever he wants just to build up the tension.
