Underrated Sci-Fi Movies [>_<]

Name one (or a few) that you thought were good, but not really popular. Or popular but older, and maybe people don't know about them.

I love Sci-Fi movies, and every once in a while I'll see one several years old that was really good, but I wasn't aware it existed, or I just assumed it would be stupid.

Anyway, here's one that comes to mind for me:

Demolition man, and Judge Dredd. They were pretty good, from what I remember, also pretty underrated.

Well, it got an Scarlett 'f**king' Johansson in it.. So can't consider it as underrated in my eyes

I have. Cool start but gets really weird after some time. Especially the *** with the android girl and the climax. More of a B-Grade horror with Sci-Fi elements. The dramatic plot is well-enacted enough to make this watchable.

As to your question, I'd say Primer.

May add Equilibrium, Dark City & Gattaca - though they might a little more known due to more recognized celebrities. Also, The Hidden was a cool watch I've seen on a TV Channel some years ago.

Hmmm... My favorite SciFi is The Fifth Element, but that was already mentioned. If you want a SciFi that's delightfully terrible, watch Dune:

I think it has something to do with the fact that I'm posting off of a phone. It doesn't happen when I use my laptop. Still, they're just the movie posters. You can look the films up if you're interested.
