Itachi actually SAVED his brother, as opposed to letting him die.
no he just created for him a fate worse than a quick death which was a slow agonising death filled with hatred loneliness and misery
Itachi tormented his brother so Sasuke would kill him and become a hero of the Leaf, redeeming the Uchihas
why did they need redeeming if they were criminals and he was right to kill them? obviously he was wrong to kill them and feels guilty. also how will filling sasukes heart with hate and rage make him a noble kind hero? wouldnt that jsut do the opposite? wait..it DID
Itachi did those things with Kakashi and the others only to keep his cover.
what cover? he blew his cover when he explicitly told obito whos side hes on and told obito not to attack konoha
Itachi could have killed Jiraiya, but chose not to.
knowing pain would send someone else to get naruto (and pain DID send deidara since deidara almost captured naruto in rescue gaara arc) if he himself failed. itachi caused more bloodshed than he saved
Itachi and many others admitted that he was dedicated to the village and did everything he did to make the village succeed.
except he didnt. he threatened high treason on them, helped the village get weaker by putting kkaashi in a coma and turning sasuke traitor, and helped the other villages get weaker by sealing their jins
He's obviously a hero he stopped a war by killing the Uchiha's.
heroes dont massacre children because an old man said so. he could have stopped a war by killing half and threatening the other half. but i guess that was too nice.
Nt to mention how many times he saved the village.
once and only because he committed genocide. a crime he didnt want pinned on anyone but himself and wanted to be looked upon as a villain. if the action was so heroic he should ahve been a hero but he wasnt and knew it. itachi himself tells people not to think of him as a hero
Minato, Hiruzen, Hashirama, Tobirama
did not massacre children nor mentally torture their family members nor mentally torture comrades. also itachi just left anko dying 2 feet away and didnt even care
Itachi tormented his brother so he would get stronger then kill him...Itachi understood the history of the uchiha and as tobi/tobirama explained, hate and strong emotions empower uchihas
so basically he knew sasuke would become an unstoppable rampaging villain and still tortured him to make sure he wold create konohas greatest threat
that's completely wrong " Why are you weak?... you lack hate"
i said it was brutal and evil, not that he didnt have a reason. he had a reason, its just a psychopathic one
Sometimes hard decisions have to be made in order to protect something greater.
and usually its the villains who do that. itachis a villain like danzo. he opposes the idealistic views of naruto and hashirama and frequently attacks konoha citizens
An amazing character in terms of things he does for the sake of the village and his younger brother
nothing? except making them get destroyed and obliterated
Biggest Hero in the NV, other than SO6P. Without him undoing Edo Tensei no backup would have arrived for Naruto and Kages would be dead right now.
without him kabuto would still be around and thats about it. the alliance had cleaned up the edo tenseis except chiyo and kimimaro in chapter 573 then headed to narutos location. only people who wouldnt be there are fodder samurai who were still fighting.
Itachi was a hero, even Hashirama praised him.
hashirama knew almost nothing about the guy except vague descriptions that only mentioned he killed his comrades on orders. he has no idea what akatsuki even is or what they were doing with itachis help
Umm idiot he saved the world once before by stopping the uchiha's plot to overthrow the leaf which wouldve caused a fourth great ninja war
no it wouldnt. MAYBE a bloody failed coup but thats not a civil war. uchihas were dead whether they were killed by itachi or not. and no other nation is warmongering enough to invade straight away just because they hear there was a rebellion in konoha that was foiled. thatd be like yuzahn vong invading the republic after the jedis are wiped out. uchihas didnt like the government not the whole village.
also what was "saving the world" about turnikng sasuke into a villain and helping akatsuki get the jins?
Yes I know that but either way it was going to start a fourth great ninja war and Itachi stopped it by wiping out the Uchiha clan. If that doesnt make you a hero then I dont know what doesn't
ensuring that act is wasted by helping to start another one and kidnap innocent people/inform a psychopath you approve of his crush the leaf plans/do nothing about akatsuki till its too late. and contrary to itachis belief, the other nations wouldnt invade konoha just because uchihas rebelled.
He's a hero who saved the entire shinobi world
i didnt know kabuto chiyo and kimimaro were threats to the entire shinobi world....i mean sm kabuto is strong but not edo madara strong.
... If anyone was to blame it was Obito. He rekindled The Curse of Hatred in The Uchiha Clan by attacking Konoha with the kyuubi. Because of his actions the uchiha were unjustly blamed and were put under suspicion
if anyone is to blame its itachi. he turned sasuke inot a genocidal maniac, he helped akatsuki instead of stopping them and failed to beat oro when he had the chance
Itachi was 13 years or younger and he was pressured with the Task of wiping out his clan
too bad. he had the mind of a kage at 7. his age didnt matter
he either had to wipe them out but saving his brother or have all of them exterminated along with his brother.. He had really difficult choices to make at such a young age
that wasnt his only options. if he thinks like a kage he would have known that. why couldnt he bargain for the other kids, not just sasuke? or convince hiruzen he can stop it without killing everyone?
Who said the slaughter was heroic
"itachi was a hero"
