That was what I was planning to say, but forget. I suspect Sting being the one who is worth 5 points, hence why I can't figure out who is supposed to fight him.
perhaps he is buying his time after everyone fights hell be the only one at full strength. thats a good strategy.

That I don't really care much about as it's not an answer on the question who is supposed to fight Sting now? Whether at full strength or not, there is currently no one who is plotwise suited to fight him. The plot pushed Erza to Kagura and Minerva, Laxus to Orga, Gray to Rufus and Lyon, Gajeel to Rogue and Juvia like usual between Gray and Lyon. There is no one who has something with Sting outside Natsu, however he isn't participating. Also assuming Sting is the leader, he's probably the last person that should be beaten to win and finish the Grand Magic Games.

On top of that, the final of the Games was supposed to end in an unbelievable and unlikely way. Currently nothing that happened so far can be classified like that, for us at least.

Laxus VS Orga VS Jura will be epic.

I'm still curious about the shadow that possessed Rogue.

But sting will end up fighting minerva to save his exceed. I think that, like Cali pointed out, the lack of opponents plot wise means that Sting will "rebel" against Minerva to get his exceed back. Plot wise, its unlikely that he fights the winner of any of the fights. And Erza will not win agains minerva. Its likely that in the end, Minerva will be the one standing along with sting, winning the game for Sabertooth. At this point, Sting will turn on Minerva and defeat her...or try, to save his friend.

I don't predict Fairy Tail to win the magic games. Nor do i think the princess is actually waiting for that to happen. Its very unlikely that Fairy tail can win. All of the contestants it has in the match are unsuited to win against Minerva and/or Sting, either ability wise or plot wise. Non of them will win against Sting plot wise, non of them can win against minerva ability wise. Jura who could actually be a good "fodder cleaner", getting rid of minerva and all others up to sting is unlikely to do so after his match with laxus and orga.

Gajeel? Nah...after this match his is unlikely to fight another opponent and win.

Tbh I have to agree with both Scorps and Cali about the tournament, it is very unlikely Fairy Tail will win this tournament, yeah they are putting one hell of a show being in second place, but Gajeel is too exhausted to fight anyone now, and if DS rules fully take affect he is about to get very sick very quickly for eating those Shadow's. Now to the Laxus vs Jura vs Orga, I have a sneaky suspicion despite that Laxus is a 2nd Generation DS he is going to try and pull a Gajeel and Natsu and eat the Black Lightning and unleash a massive blast like Gajeel did and surprise everyone beating either both Jura and Orga or at least one of them. That will be a very exciting match to watch hopefully, and maybe we will have a few more DS moves revealed.

But now for the Minerva vs Erza match........Erza is obviously the underdog in this match, with being exhausted and injured she doesn't stand much of a chance at all against Minerva and those magic abilities of hers. But I do agree that Sting is def. going to be the deciding factor in this tournament. But I do not believe that Minerva is the leader of their group and if she does lose she will be laughing that they only received one point and will point out that Sting is their leader for the match.

But in the end everyone will be far too tired to fight him seeing as he is relaxing throughout most of this tourney.

Well it's not that I'm saying that FT can't win, personally I still find the end result open. I'm just saying that currently there is no 'correct' match up for Sting plotwise. However the final result is supposed to be unbelievable, so I'm expecting that there's something crazy going to happen that will flip everything upside down.

Wait a sec aren't there still two people we haven't accounted for? Gary and the water bitch who is lovey dovey to Gray?

Now if Gajeel manages to keep himself up, and Laxus manages to win without getting too badly injured (unlikely), and if Gray and that chick win, and go to Erza's side and Sting shows up at Minerva's side, it would seem a bit one sided but also but I have a feeling that would be an awesome match. Also I do have a sneaky suspicion that Rogue may step in and stop Sting....

I already mentioned them: Gray is fighting Lyon, while Juvia is fighting Shelia alongside them and plotwise they have been pushed against each other for a while now.

I know ya did I just have a bad memory at times especially when I have just woken up xd but still if all of FT wins their match except for Erza they will still lose or at most tie........wait isn't Jura the team leader of his guild? If he is then FT will be in the lead but if Erza loses Sabertooth takes the lead again

It hasn't been confirmed who is the leader of FT and LS, however common sense wise it should be Jura and for FT Laxus or Erza.

There is no one left to fight him. But the only reason we know that itll end in an unbelievable way is because the princess said that. However she is said to have been lieing so now we dont even know if that is the truth since future Lucy hasnt said anything about that or we havnt heard her say that actually.

Sting is the leader, it is almost certain, but who he will fight? maybe hell wont even fight? hell go against his own in Minerva. and rescue his exceed. Thats unbelievable i say.

I know, however even assuming she is lying, that doesn't take away her intentions are highly likely still the same, namely finishing the Eclipse Project and to prove that that Project is necessary, the way how the Magic Games end is crucial. So regardless of whether she is lying or not, the results still should be the same.

Sting is 90% probably the leader of ST. Reason is simple: Minerva made sure his motivation to "not lose" was as high as possible by playing the card with his Exceed. He is the most motivated to win since he is the one who has the more to loose.

As for the whole Games, its clear that princess or future lucy, one of them is lieing. For some reason I still don't trust Future Lucy. But the princess....hum...

Now, even if FT manages to win against their opponents, meaning that Gray, Juvia, Gajeel, Laxus and Erza are either one or all able to fight Sting, plot wise, like Caliburn says, its unlikely or simply doesn't make much sense.

I maintain that at some point, Sting will rebel against Minerva when she shows that she isn't returning his exceed to him or something similar. But its also likely that the shadow that possessed Rogue may take over Sting or interfer in some other fashion in the tournament. It can even be found to be a new villain.

I like this arc because its becoming unpredictable.

The only thing that bugs me still, and i noted this before, is the Eclipse gate itself. I mean, what is it exactly and how can it destroy the dragons? I still maintain that the eclipse gate will open to the dimension where the dragons are and make possible their passage to this world. That may be the purpose of the princess actions. And for the celestial keys to be involved and some celestial mage to be neded, its 95% bound that the eclipse gate opens to the dimension where the celestial spirits are and that is where the dragons went in exile. It wuold also explain somethings like for example the fact that igneel and grandine, even if apparently absent from the world, can take notice of what is happening with their DS and the ones around them, in a similar way that celestial spirits can know what is happening to their mages. it wuold also explain how in such a long time, so many dragons managed to survive in perfect hiding except the one that was left behind: Acnologia.

Huuuummm.... I may be overthinking this one a bit once more.
